The rules of this forum are inspired by the original Can-Am series: unrestricted engine capacity and few other restrictions. In other words, anything goes as long as you keep it gentlemanly. Thank you!

Living on the west coast of America, because of time differences I often am the only one at the Round Table. This provides me the opportunity to be provocative with no chance for anyone to respond, which is wonderful! The feeling engendered varies, sometimes that of a cat burglar, more often that of being in a quiet sanctuary.
"I enjoy the silent sanctuary before the service begins"

I plan to post an avalanche of one word comments that will make sense if read consecutively, a tactic that will quickly vault me ahead of John Charles and into senior status. This comment alone would nearly accomplish my goal if I decide to renounce playing by the rules.

I believe JC will be slow with posting the coming weeks due to some travelling so grab your chance!

Many thanks René, I understand that it isn't any better back home in Normandy. Did you check out the Flying Dutch Dentist Gerrit Wolsink?

To be honest, not yet. But I do know his name!
When my sister lived near Amsterdam during her studies, she also worked in a library. And she used to bring me books on racing that were written off (too old or damaged). Mainly car racing but I do have quite a few books from the 70's/early 80's about motorbike racing and motor cross. So I know his name from these books. I must have a look at home if I can dig them up somewhere.

Rene,
I often edit my comments until another member has responded in any way, after which I feel honor bound not to change anything retroactively. Is this acceptable protocol? I cite honor because of its obvious presence around the Round Table.
Cheers, Carl

Carl I completely missed your post, sorry! I have no issues at all with what you describe. I have also done that and hey, you have a bit more freedom living in another time zone! No really, your posts are wonderful!

I have devised a way to alter posts while you are all asleep. Since I cannot be embarrassed by what others presumably have written, I suggest that you choose a fallguy to take the blame. A currently inactive member will suffice until such time as those they have appeared to slander file defamation lawsuits.

Carl, I plan to stay awake one of these nights to see what is going on here while Europe is asleep! As the forum's administrator I have no other choice.

I humbly propose that "Senior Member" be changed to "Exalted Poobah" Carl, by all means, I'd be happy to! But then please realize that all Senior members will be exhalted to Poobah's! If you have more than 3 likes I will change it! Any other proposals?
