that has me pondering chaps, who has the best motor racing moustache? Graham Hill springs o mind, but who else? I think Graham Hill was in a class by himself. The grandeur of his moustache may have discouraged competition. Ha ha Carl, this made me laugh. I always think Graham would have made the perfect cad or super-villain in a 60's movie - the tache creates that aura.....

In this photograph of the great French driver George Boillot, there are fourteen people. Of the ten males whose faces are shown, nine have moustaches. The tenth is a boy with a glum expression. The figure next to the boy may be his mother, often reason enough for a boy to be glum, who may have denied her son permission to grow one. The faces of three men are hidden. Likely all have moustaches, adding to the boy's misery. Are Chase Carey's moustache and annoying smirk signs of arrested development? Martin Brundle must ask if his mother was mean to him... Jamie, I think I got Cedric's book via Classic Team Lotus's website - i seem to remember it was a charity based book? but yes, what a wonderful obsession it is to share Jamie- what I would really like is an authentic autograph I have a reproduction one via fleabay but an original is slightly out of my price range,

If we are going for drivers with real facial hair, following Jo Bonnier's goatee which was decades ahead of the fashionable accessory of the past two decades; how about Harald Earth.......

Unfortunately, having checked last night, they no longer have it in stock 😟 And wouldn’t an original autograph or anything of Jimmy’s be amazing to own, probably never be within my price range but one can dream. Mind you, I think Dario Franchitti owns most of the Clark memorablilia around so it’s a long shot anyway 😂

Good to get away from the facial hair and surely one of the most distinguishable helmet designs of all time. Here is another with the Aztec symbolism from the Italian driver with sadly such a brief career, Ignazio Giunti. What a beautiful image this is.

That is a stunning image JC. A unique and intriguing helmet design. What would be the story behind that?
Ignazio's life ended too soon in such a tragic way, very sad indeed.
