That is a very cool picture. I like the moustache! Also the name PIKET and the P logo on his overalls are nice details.

Jamie, the book and it really is the definitive read, is called Jim Clark racing hero, it is written by our friend Graham Gauld and published by McKlein,, the foreword is by Kurt Ahrens, and it is in English on one side of the page and German on the other, it's nearly 400 pages and I think around £120, but along with all the other books I have on Jimmy it really is superb, and goes from A [Aintree] to Z [Zandvoort] there are many photos I have in all the other books, but it really takes pride of place in my collection,
incidentally have you read Cedric Selzer's book? it really is a little diamond of a book, I always thought it was a shame Jim Endruwit never wrote a book, that would have been one interesting read

A typical image from the eighties (1983 to be precise). Cool Keke inhaling some nicotine. © Williams Grand Prix Engineering Ltd.

Chris,
Some great photos; the Martini Lancia Barchetta was a glorious little vehicle. Phil Hill was an incredible guy, very well educated in all matters, and I believe did some wonderful vehicle restorations in his later years, am extremely good race driver also in all disciplines.
René,
A very period photo of Keke there, don't you just love the Aviator sunglasses which were a trademark of the man, along with Cowboy Boots when in civvies.
As an aside the picture of Nelson Piquet circa 1975 has an interesting story concerning the spelling of his name on his helmet. Apparently he called himself "Piket" in his early days as he did not want his father to find out he was racing cars. It was ordained that he was going to be a professional tennis player at one time. One also forgets that Moustaches were the thing to have back in the 1970's, we all had them!!

Yes, I know the story about Nelson. I think his last name is actually Sotomaior or something. Piquet was his mother's name I believe. Maybe he wrote it as Piket to be even more incognito? I was lucky to be too young for a moustache in the seventies!

It seems we share a Jimmy obsession Chris 😁
