Love this picture, so much to see. It looks like someone found a box with Champion stickers in the back of the van and some spare time to paste them on the walls!

Thanks Rene I couldn't see the front and wasn't sure. I think they only ran the long tails in 1973 anyway.

The connoisseur speaks! If John meant the beautiful young woman being hoisted by Stirling Moss, I wonder if she asked to sit in Peter Wardle's race car or whether Moss acted with impetuous boldness, more interested in the tactile sensation of cradling her...

Apropos of beautiful racing cars (like Gurney's AAR Eagle of 1967): here's another real beauty, from just ten year later (the "kit car period", as a Japanese magazine called the mid-70's).
Scheckter en route to victory in Monaco, 1977.

Very much so, Mikael. A beautiful car that Wolf WR1. And what a season that was for Wolf and Jody Scheckter! Entering Formula 1 as a new, one car team and winning first time out in Argentina, then winning the Monaco Grand Prix and last but not least winning the team's home race in Canada! Scheckter finished second in the championship behind Niki Lauda and Wolf 4th in the constructors behind power houses Ferrari, Lotus and McLaren. A dream season which was impossible to repeat of course but what a story it was.
