I wonder how the collaboration between Hülkenberg and Magnussen will work out ... "No lost love" between them, that's for sure :-D

I was looking for a so-called "cutaway" drawing of a modern (up to a few years old) GP car; but virtually nothing is available. (A pity, because for me, F1 would be much more interesting if more technical details were revealed. In the "old days", very little was hidden, even regarding the brand-new things. )
However, I came across the drawing below, of a 2019 Mercedes. Apparently, the electric motor takes up approximately the same amount of space (w.r.t. length) as the combustion engine. And then, in "the end", comes the gearbox.

So ...is it correctly understood that the engine in the Alpha Tauri still is labelled as a Honda, but not in the Red Bull?
Honda deserves - and ought to make sure to get - continued PR-value of all their efforts and early tribulations, I think ...

I have not, I must admit, followed F2 at all, for several years; but I came to wonder how they compare in size with F1. Just like F1, the F2 cars are powered by a turbocharged V6 engine. Yet they are very "harmonic" in terms of their dimensions. So again, the electrics in an F1 car takes up a lot of space, for sure.

The Honda marketing regarding Formula One remains a mystery to me...

I haven't really 'followed' F2 either but I have seen them in the flesh when going to F1 races of course. Last year I saw them in Spa and even more close by in Hungary and I would say the F2 cars have approximately the size of F1 cars of around 2007/8. But certainly before they went hybrid.

Very nice with Gulf sponsorship. But a pity that Gulf didn't pay enough to have the car painted completely in the classical "Gulf racing colours".
Thinking about it, it might have been better for Williams to have offered this even free of extra charge, in the light of the tremendous press-interest this would generate. Their car might easily have become the most photographed F1 car of 2023, had this been the case ...

That will generate enough attention... and posters and t-shirts and model cars etc.... I would have liked to see one of the new prototypes, preferably the Porsche 963, in blue/orange. That would have been really cool.
