Mario is currently in Italy shooting a documentary for NBC.
Here is at his first home in Montona, telling how he still calls it "Italy", when now it's actually Croatia, Motovun.

"Montona, Italy". Still an Italian patriot at heart, old Mario.

One of the best spots for photographs the outside of Paddock Hill Bend at Brands Hatch; check out Rob's avatar .

I was actually on South Bank that year - admittedly getting a bit the worse for wear but - the beer was free- the highlight was Mario driving the beauty in anger - something you never saw him normally do and it was impressive

Of course, because of your experience as a professional, you immediately knew just where the photograph was taken, certainly by someone brave with full faith in Andretti and Goodyear.
Although both are among the very best, I've always thought Brands Hatch was a better circuit than Silverstone. If someone could combine the best elements of both, they would have the best road course in the world.
Cheers, Carl

A well-made documentary film about arguably the very greatest driver A great spot Carl, just watched a bit of the beginning, the rest later. I have some other great links but will do that after everyone has had a chance to see this one on the Great El Maestro. One of the problems here is the fact that some new threads get instantly covered up by people posting new ones, especially if one does not dig deep into each section on a regular basis. Cheers John Charles

Cheers John Charles Using the 'Recent posts' link on the bottom of the homepage is a very useful tool. For me essential to keep up really.

Fangio and Collins as Ferrari team mates in 1956. Something seems not right judging from the look on their faces.
