Rene, I like both Dixon and Newgarden, so may the best man win! Their strategy will be cautious, so I'll root for the most impressive driver overall for the race win on both days. There are two theories why this weekend's races are called Harvest Grand Prix. The most likely one is the event's ability to harvest devoted Formula One fans since Indianapolis has the only spotlight. Viewers starved for motorsport will be encouraged to buy as many advertised products as possible if they want racing to resume, a commercial harvest, while deep fake technology will be employed to convince the susceptible that Paul Tracy is sitting next to them and harvesting their food, causing some to panic. The less interesting theory is to recall a single 1916 September (harvest) event at the Speedway few even remember. Cheers, Carl

I'm a Newgarden fan but Dixon is a great driver and the points leader since race 1 so probably most deserving. But the champion is the one with most points after the last race so anything can happen. And hoping for a VeeKay podium, that would be cool. A deep fake rendering of Paul Tracy...

I see that young Veekay is on pole that should make you feel good René. I would go for Scott Dixon for title honours, solid driving all (shortened) season especially that recovery last time out.

The women? I referred to Paul Tracy!
Yes, pole for Rinus. Great job, the boy has talent!

Paul Tracy, almost always overweight, appears suspiciously trim. I wonder if his fat had been liposuctioned and used to enhance the two women.

Paul is a good guy, always willing to share his wealth!

What I had intended to say and make clear was in the appearance of those two women, not the obvious direction with regard to "work", but their faces which had obviously been subjected to a great deal of enhancement. Personally if I were them I would be looking for some sort of refund.

Personally if I were them I would be looking for some sort of refund. They are beautiful and barely past their prime, but must wear out their mirrors obsessing about cosmetic surgery as they get older. Both have lips permanently swollen and the one on the right appears to have a pair of the trendy bounce chairs beneath her top.

I also favor the cool experience of Dixon to prevail. Newgarden can be impulsive and overeager.
Rinus Veekay is 8/10ths faster than anyone and a full second faster in his group.

Fantastic race with a great result!
First podium finish for Rinus VeeKay after starting from pole. Some great battles with Colton Herta throughout the race, first for the lead and later for third with a fantastic comeback from 6th to 3rd in the last ten laps. Wonderful stuff.
Josef Newgarden keeps the championship alive by winning convincingly while at the same time Scott Dixon was not having one of his best days. The points difference is now less than a race win with two races to go.
Also good to see Rossi back on the podium despite being a bit unlucky with a penalty. Colton Herta was fast but ran out of ammunition in the end.
Great race, really enjoyed this and there was so much what F1 is missing at the moment.
One negative; the tv registration. The director somehow seemed to miss key moments in the race on several occasions.

Race 1 was excellent with a multitude of daring passes, especially by Rinus Veekay and Colton Herta, and almost no contact beyond wheels occasionally kissing, a real lesson for Formula One.
Who were the announcers and director for the broadcast in Holland? I enjoy the commentary of Townsend Bell and Paul Tracy and wish Leigh Diffey would remain in the hotel.

Carl, the broadcast was actually very good at times and I believe we see the same registration as you, including the interviews. I really like the split screen when there are pit stops and racing action at the same time. That works very good. But some crucial moments like when Rossi went wide to pass Dixon and subsequently received a penalty, was completely missed. And when there was a tense battle going on late in the race between Power, VeeKay and Rossi, the director decided to show us some aerial views from Indiana missing the (live) moment when Power almost lost it on the banking. It was shown short after in the replay but I found that a little annoying. To me it seemed like the director didn't really 'read' the race how it developed. For the rest it was good and very entertaining! Dutch commentary is by my namesake René Hoogterp. No complaints there, he's knowledgeable and enthusiastic without going over the top. And when there are interviews he keeps quiet as most people here understand English.

Darn it, I had no idea they were running race one on Friday. It sounded like a very good race by the enthusiastic responses here.

I enjoy the aerial shots because it's cool to see them accelerate onto the main straight, but not during critical moments. The broadcast was disjointed in another strange way, with no commercial interruptions for some time and then too many, as though they were forgotten earlier. Maybe it was amateur hour at NBC.
Leigh Diffey's role as a network shill who won't stop his promotional spiel and tries to leaven the nonsense with human interest bits that aren't interesting, annoys the hell out of me.

Next day second races are often about the same, deja vu with slight differences. Josef Newgarden adopted Colton Herta's swooping inside move to pass entering Turn 7 to good effect, so it can be Groundhog Day even for the drivers.
Will Power made no mistakes and won easily, annoyed only by Herta and Alexander Rossi. Some musical chair sour notes with Sebastian Bourdais, signed for next year with the dysfunctional A.J. Foyt team, in a 3rd car in this race but even with his proven ability unable to coax any speed. Dalton Kellett is out of his element, Charlie Kimball is reckless, and I doubt A.J. would want either to chauffeur him to his favorite hamburger stand.
Colton Herta was again too hard on his tyres and Leigh Diffey too obnoxious. Deja vu
