Carl, was Jack Harvey on pole or 2nd on the grid? another driver who was destined for F1 greatness and for reasons other than perhaps money didn't get there, I understand Will was unlucky, really would like to see these races, but still baulk at sxy

Yep, it's looking good for Scott Dixon, 2 out of 2! And what about Rinus Veekay! Fifth was a very strong and solid result. Watch out for this guy, he is going to be really good. Chris, Will Power was on pole. Harvey second.

Normally I enjoy Indycar but I must still be in lockdown, possibly mental, because I watched most of the Indycar race and could just not get excited. I just can't take to these new cars, they look like a bitza, part formula car, part IMSA car and part funny car. I also don't know if it is the camera work eg angles but I preferred the F2 race in Austria.

Great qualifying and fantastic pole for Josef Newgarden! I love this track. One of the best in the world on par with Spa and Suzuka. Looking forward to race later today! Ah Siebkens bar... that would be wonderful Carl....

Great qualifying and fantastic pole for Josef Newgarden! I love this track. One of the best in the world on par with Spa and Suzuka. Looking forward to race later today! Ah Siebkens bar... that would be wonderful Carl.... Today's race excitement dial was set at 10. Another well deserved win for Scott Dixon, as fast as ever and wiser than the rest of the field. Leading in the final laps, he snookered the overeager Will Power three times on restarts.
Great passes by two rookie drivers, Rinus Veekay stunning the broadcast booth with his first lap outside pass of Simon Pagenaud at Turn 9, the very fast and long carousel turn, something none of the announcers had ever seen done. The Dutch rookie assumed correctly the outside line would be clear of dust and marbles early in the race...and Pagenaud would not suspect. A brilliant pass! Also impressive throughout was Spanish rookie Alex Palou, inch perfect and aggressive.
Poor Jack Harvey, second fastest qualifier again, was positioned for a possible podium when his brakes failed and sent him into the gravel trap.

Poor Jack Harvey, second fastest qualifier again, was positioned for a possible podium when his brakes failed and sent him into the gravel trap. It was a really good race and Dixon is on a roll; perfect strategy and perfect driving. Bad luck though for Newgarden who seemed to be in control of the race until he stalled in the pit. Veekay's pass on Pagenaud was indeed brilliant but I had hoped/expected to see Rinus higher up the order. But all the rookies are showing their talent which is great. And where is Rossi? Last years title contender seems lost for the moment. Anyway, looking forward to race 2!

Great race again! Well deserved and fantastic first win for Felix Rosenqvist but it would have been evenly well deserved had Patricio O'Ward won. I felt for him losing the race so close to the end but good to see he was still happy with second. And Rossi finally with a good result. Some serious crashes but luckely noone got hurt. This track really has it all and the racing is always good. Can't say enough how I love this track! Carl, did you see the short item on Siebkens resort? They say David Hobbs is always there! Great place!

Great place! Rene, I agree that Rosenqvist and O'Ward were equally deserving. Those final laps had me on the edge of my seat. Another great race at Road America, a track that inspires greatness. I was dumbfounded by Will Power's first lap destruction derby, sending first Ryan Hunter-Reay and then Graham Rahal hard into the barriers, followed by his own clumsy bunny hop through the grass at high speed approaching the final turn.
I really enjoyed the scenes of Siebkens, inside and out, restaurant and saloon! Rooms are impossible to get on race weekends, but I had dinner there twice during the 1995 CART weekend and it's a wonderful resort hotel. If David Hobbs is there all the time, I'll buy him a drink!

I watched the majority of the race until the stream began to buffer and freeze so I just binned it sadly. It was very enjoyable and as many have already said that circuit is just so darn good; one of the greats without a doubt.
I was a bit surprised to see that there were spectators lining the track, but to be honest it was no surprise having seen what is unfolding out there with Covid19 infection rates. The Uk will not be far behind shortly either.
Great to learn that Felix won the race as he looked strong all race from what I observed. It appears apparent that if a team get the set up spot on then someone can fly at Road America, as good as Alexander Rossi is his dominance last year was more down to superior settings as was Patricio O'Ward's last Sunday. He is a good little driver but he isn't good enough to dominate someone like Scott Dixon as was the case yesterday.

The Uk will not be far behind shortly either. I noticed that also and certainly with the strict Covid rules that all the drivers and team members need to follow it looked a bit strange and uneasy. I understood from the commentator there was a limited number of fans allowed and social distancing was required but you could argue how smart this is.
I read they want to allow fans in Sochi also. But of course the Russians have all under control and never had any real problems with Covid-19.....

It surprised me too, until I remembered that stupidity is a birthright guaranteed by our Constitution. I noticed only about one in eight wearing a mask. If the virus smelled like death and clumsily approached like a zombie, more on the right would be alarmed.
