Honda must have their history archive a bit mixed up, surely that start is 1992, not 1987?

I will write a letter to the Honda communication department to point out their mistake. A 92 place grid penalty for the perpetrator seems like an appropriate punishment!

Ouch! No no no no no! I still believe... FORZA FERRARI!!!Its tough to see Rene, but after seeing the FP2 results, it certainly looks like Mercedes are winning the development war, and have regained their performance advantage over Ferrari. This is very disappointing, when the season was such a close battle between those two teams, for the first half of the season. Hopefully Ferrari have some developments to bring that will get them back on par for the last few races. It would be awful if your belief were disappointed (again).

Yep, it looks like Mercedes has the edge for the moment. Ferrari usually makes a step from friday to saturday but if that will be enough to challenge the Mercs I don't know.
My belief in the red team has been disappointed so many times I almost lost count! Waited 21 years once for another title, we're only at 11 now...

And now we have the saga of did the FIA fit an extra sensor to the Ferrari, or not; and of course if so, has this had an effect on its engines performance. Great Scot you couldn't write this stuff for a movie script.

Great Scot you couldn't write this stuff for a movie script. Is that 'extra sensor' the monitoring related to the split energy store, or is there a new sensor since that? P.S When you say 'Great Scot', you could just say 'Clark', or 'JYS', or is it blasphemy to take their names in vain?

Pure blasphemy to have their names associated with this farce . "Great Clark" or "Great JYS you couldn't write this stuff for a movie script" Doesn't quite have the same ring to it.

Great Scot you couldn't write this stuff for a movie script. I found the youtube video linked below that sets out to explain why Ferrari are losing their p.u advantage. Peter Windsor and Craig Scarborough, so fairly credible, but more saying that 'something has had to be changed', than specifically what the 'something' is.

Fair point on the blasphemy, I know its a 'sensor'tive point ;-) You're right, "Great Clark" or "Great JYS", is a bit of tautology, and doesn't have the same ring, but try, "JIM CLARK! you couldn't write this stuff....." or, "JYS! you couldn't write this stuff....." I reckon that works :-)

I feel for you Rene, it takes a lot of faith to hold on through the dark times. But at least your Red Team does keep coming back, so its not a hopeless faith. I grew up a fan of Lotus, then Williams, then 'psudo' Lotus, so the objects of my faith tend to burn brightly, then flicker and die. These days I'm in the cult of 'Anyone But Mercedes'

Typhoon #25 has, by-and-large, run "over Japan - so a dry and warm and sunny Suzuka today -- and the same is predicted for tomorrow.
Good - wonderful, actually - to be wrong when it's in this way :-)

The greatest Scot may be the anonymous clan leader who harassed the Roman garrisons, inspiring Hadrian to build a wall to protect against Scottish belligerence.

What a sublime analysis by Craig Scarborough, with perfect logic explaining how the plot most likely had thickened...
How can anyone suspect a Formula One team would read between the lines of the rule book and imagine regulatory compliance that doesn't comply?
