Rene, forgive me my friend but how does the 917 and 962 measure up to the 919? would be great - albeit a bit cheekily - to see the models side by side [thank you in hope] Chris, by all means. But I don't have a 919 in my model collection. I do have a whole fleet of 917's and 962's though!

Great picture! And then to think the 914 is a small car. The 917 is longer but it's very low.

Jamie, a very interesting photo, thank you. And then to think that the 914 is even quite a bit smaller than a 911 ...
In the 70's (as a kid ...) I recall being very impressed by a story in a Danish motor magazine about a road-legal 917 residing in Germany. The first large attached photo (just below) is just one of those that were published in that magazine.
A story about the car is given here:

Dauer converted a 962 for road use so I don’t see why not ......just need a Euromillions lottery win 😁

Alonso's car on pole, by two exact seconds on the next car, the other Toyota. Nakajima, not Alonso, set the time.

Enjoying the awesome around the clock coverage of Le Mans, a first time occurrence. Great commentary! Great weather so far with a chance of rain.
My understanding is that Chip Ganassi is not there because the airline wanted to assess both a shipping container surcharge for his seat and a gluttony surcharge for meal service.

Watching few laps during the European night on-board with this: Beautiful, would love to be driving there now.

Alonso will win this, but that wasn't a race as far as the Toyota is concerned.
I do hope they won't start with the canonization ("to make him a saint") when he only had to show up to win it.
In no way that is comparable to Pescarolo-Hill. To be specific.
