Charles I barely look at MS forum now, sometimes I will read Max's comments or something that sparks an interest, but what summed it up was some idiot who said 'we should get real' physically women can't race' or some such rubbish, i can't even bring myself to respond to this twit - it is just unbelievable that in 2018 someone actually thinks like this and that MS allowed it to be shown, this guys stupidity is beyond belief,
i have this months MS magazine, and it's not the best I've ever read to put it quietly - in fact it is sitting next to me asking for another attempt and i am resisting

Long before we left they lost many really good commenters thanks to this choice that someone at Motorsport had decided upon. Idiots like the one you have highlighted have now polluted the MS site to the extent that really knowledgeable enthusiasts are no longer interested. For them there is no going back, they have made their bed and must now lay in it. I go to the site occasionally, mostly out of momentary boredom (a case that is but fleeting in my life, as boredom s not something I have ever suffered from as a lasting frailty) and the quality of content is now a poor shadow of what was available up to 18 months ago. Personally I would not pay any of them, bar Mark Hughes, with Smarties. JC

They brought this upon themselves by the stupid decision to align themselves with the hideous DISQUS format. JC I agree. That was one of their worst decisions ever. The DISQUS format completely undermined the 'true enthusiast club' feeling that was so much part of Motor Sport.

hear hear, Jamie and I did mention the idiots on the forum to Mark, remember saying something on the lines of - getting fed up reading your same answer to the same question twenty time' and the vitriol, but I see Bonedwarf made a comment, which was good, I like Max Oxley but who these other people are is lost on me and I tend to read more informative journalism on this wonderful site

Let's celebrate the possibility that a vile and idiotic usurper may be braindead. Hope springs eternal... This notification just appeared on Motorsport.com: "The Disqus comment system is temporarily in maintenance mode. You can still read comments during this time, however posting comments and other actions are temporarily delayed." >

Having read this months MotorSport I can say for me it was a good month, there are some lovely articles and comments, I especially enjoyed Mark's article and maybe a bit like Jenk's continental notes this is something that perhaps could continue, I also liked Doug's article as it mentioned the legend that is Ronnie, c/w some great pictures, and lunch with someone I thought was always an interesting person, Steve Nichols, and his comments about some of what happened are also good reading, so a much improved MS this month - however i do feel there is a long way to go,

There are new barriers to posting a comment on Motor Sport's website. You must declare that you're not a robot and then identify street signs or cars in very small photos. This may be intended to keep out trolls, a good thing. The answer to the last question is "Rosebud"

The very same thing happens if you enter a search in Google whilst using a VPN; disconnect ones VPN and put the same search in once more and you have no "quiz" to undertake before progressing. Maybe that is something that the FIA should consider with reference to F1 car designs i.e. prove your design was not created by artificial intelligence but b y a human being on a drawing board .

Carl and John, I have posted once I think on MS in the past few months, I keep thinking to but then read the tripe some people send in, the petty arguments and the Valentino or Marquez bashing or in F1 Mark having to answer basically the same question a number of times,

As it turns out, my effort was a complete waste of time as Motor sport can't seem to avoid dysfunction. Now they are promoting a delay in mailing for the June issue as somehow being wonderful. Curiouser and curiouser, as new editor Alice would say. Cheers, Carl

hear hear John, Carl, wonderful,
I would be so sad if our beloved MS disappears - i don't particularly care for the present editor and still think they are missing a writer, i know Roebuck isn't popular here but someone like the late Jabby or perhaps someone like the retired Gordon Kirkby or a European writer - actually yea - that would work, i would really welcome that but who?
nominations?
