Hello Rene, Thank you for creating a forum as grand for our purposes as the Roman Forum was for its. It's beautiful! Do you know where the photograph of Ronnie Peterson in his Lotus 72 was taken, I believe during 1973? By chance was it Zandvoort? He presented such calm mastery just in the lean of his head.
Thanks again!
-Carl

Hello Carl,
It is from Austria in 1973, exiting the awesome Bosch Curve I believe. As you so correctly point out Ronnie's stance in the cockpit displays such mastery and sense of purpose.
Kind regards
John

I want to change the header picture regularly to keep the look fresh but I have a feel this photo will be one of the favourites! cheers René

Hello René,
I would like to second the words of our good friend Carl. I, and for certain others will also be greatly indebted to you for creating this wonderful place. I have little doubt that this will be the place to go, and cannot wait to see a variety of topics with everyone participating.
I am currently finding my way around everything this brilliant forum site offers.
Many thanks again from a damp Northern France.
Kind regards
John Charles

Thank you very much JC,
It is really too much honour but very appreciated. I really hope this will grow into a nice community and as you say, the place to go. I think there are even more possibilities and functions to be discovered. I am also still finding my way and experimenting.
Nice avatar image! A very young Ronnie!
cheers René

René, Every bit deserved; it is a very good place to be. I like the new Gilles banner; Ronnie did not last long, such is the rate of progress in motor sport . Yes! That is a very young Ronnie as my avatar, right back from his karting days, he almost looks like a period motocrosser . With regard to your email yesterday about categories, you are right there should not be too many as i think people/members may get lost looking for things or plain and simple miss a discussion. Well, I actually did create the sub categories now under 'other categories' and 'motor bike racing'. Let's see if it works, if not than I will simplify it again.

Many thanks Rene It is nice to see an idea come to fruition. I look forward to many hours of fun and enjoyment on this site. Love the Racers of the Round Table Logo as well- I T shirt springs to mind in case we need to recognise one another when we all meet at a Grand Prix in the future.

We now have an accumulation of knowledge and information that is essentially a research library. Several large rooms comprising several sections and each section having many shelves with many titles. There are now so many avenues of discussion that it's easy to miss one, only to eventually wander into the right room and turn a corner into the right section and open the pages of a great book you hadn't known was there.
All that's missing is a picture book section for those carefree days I revert to childhood and don't care about Dewey and decimals.
Cheers, Carl

Very quiet at the moment Carl. I believe that Chris is currently on a motorcycle tour in Germany so that accounts for him. Maybe there is not that of much interest going on right now, but some attractive female members certainly might stir the pot!! .

For me it's that I have been busy moving offices with my business and selling a property. Not your average day to day activities so I am kinda exhausted and had not much time or energy to participate on the forum. But I'll be back! The attractive women idea sound fine with me!
