Lucio shares a birthday with Julius Caesar. My birthday is overwhelmed every year by the most overblown global party imaginable, signifying nothing. The following morning's hangovers are sweet revenge...

Seeing as it is your birthday officially Carl, let me add my wishes to those of René.
In a way I suppose it is a bit like a kid whose birthday falls on December 25th; it's only when one gets more advanced in years that we realise it doesn't matter a jot'

John Charles, Thank you for your birthday wishes! You are right. Birthday parties are awkward on both Christmas and New Year's Day once past childhood (children love any birthday party on any day  ). Later in life, lovers of parties in general and those who crave birthday cake are the ones who enthuse. It's convenient for me that I enjoy solitude and pie a la mode... Cheers, Carl |
