Although I had some rumours that the late Graham Hill's widow had passed away it wasn't until today's MS magazine that this has been confirmed, MS have done quite a tribute to Bette and although I have only just glanced at it - they have copied a letter from Bette to MS about the safety campaign, where she pointed out that actually Graham was equally as active as Jackie in improving safety

Many thanks for alerting us to the sad passing of this fine lady Chris. These things always seem to occur at this time of year which must make it doubly distressing for all close family.
Back in the day these fine ladies like Bette Hill were as pre-emminent as there illustrious partners, usually with stop watch in hand, and clipboard on their knee.
She has rejoined Graham now, so hopefully the great partnership will continue in a more celestial place.

Yes, read this in Autosport last week. Sad news, a fine and formidable lady. Quite the sportsperson in her own right as well and I think I read that she represented Britain with her rowing exploits.
Kept the Hill fires burning after Graham’s death which was no mean feat considering the complicated aftermath of that terrible tragedy. RIP Bette.
