I can only endorse that. 2022 has been a difficult year, for the whole world but also for our forum with the loss of a dear friend. Let's hope for a happy, healthy and hopefully more peaceful year for everyone. And to frequent visitors to our platform who would like to participate, don't hesitate and sign up. You can always try.

To all guests, Don't be afraid to join. René and Chris are mean to new members at first, but once you have proven yourselves, you'll be welcomed at our table and find no more spiked whoopee-cushions on your seats. Our table is round because everyone is equal, including newcomers. The only requirement is an abiding interest in motorsport. Cheers, Carl

Wishing you all a belated New Year and hope 2023 is an improvement over the last three years. Rene I love the pic of the start of the 1968 Belgian GP. Those were the days when you could tell the driver from behind as well as from the front due to their helmet design, now you can do neither. DSJ wrote a fascinating report on the Belgian GP that year, like he was thinking aloud, brilliant and well worth a read.

Rob, Denis Jenkinson was considered odd and eccentric even by his friends, but his Continental Notes and race reports were wonderful. Thanks for the reminder!

Thanks Carl for the link, enjoyed reading it again. I first read it in Jan 1970 when a friend gave me his old MotorSports. It was right at the beginning of my interest in motor racing.

Greetings so late that it's embarrassing. (We were abroad during Christmas and New Year; and coming back a week into the new year, work had piled up ...)
Still, I hope you all will have a happy and prosperous 2023.

It's that time of year again. Christmas is just around the corner and the year 2023 is almost over! For now, a Merry Christmas to you all. And hopefully a little more peacefulness in these turbulent times...

And hopefully a little more peacefulness in these turbulent times... A rare image of René in his Ferrari Dino 246 F1, modified with dual upswept exhaust and aerodynamic wreath, in a moment of calm with an eye on his mirror as he prepares for blast-off. Many children know that thunder on Christmas Eve was likely created in the province of Modena.
Merry Christmas! Peace on earth... goodwill to all

Yes, I’ve called it the ‘Claus-mobile’.
