The second Christmas we celebrate on this forum, how time flies! It has been wonderful the past year and I feel privileged to be your administrator and be part of this group. We've had many ups and unfortunately also a down but that is how it goes, as Kimi would say. I wish you all a great time with family, friends or maybe a couple of pretty babes. Merry Christmas to you all!

Hi Racers, It looks like this isn't the favourite time of year for many of the forum. That's a pity because it is a great time when people reach out to each other and wish for a better kinder world - like we have here. While its a quiet time for Motorsports in the Northern hemisphere, its getting into the season down here in Kiwiland. The Toyota Racing Series kicks off in two weeks, and we get to see some of the best young drivers in the world (or the kids of some of the richest people in the world, depending on how you like to look at it), the Formula Ford Series, also starts mid January, and my favorite the Skope Classic series - where some of the finest classic racer cars from the 50's through to the 90's come out to play - Including more and more We might also be getting a Formula E race down here ;-) Happy Daze ahead!!!! Be of good cheer fellow racers, more motorsport is on its way Attachments:

Jim, thank you for your positive and kind words. And you’re right, the world certainly can do with a bit more positivism! It’s quiet now on the forum but I’m sure conversations will start to flow again soon. The Scope Classic sounds like a great event. Are you planning to go there? If so, would be great if you could share some pictures with us. Thanks again and enjoy the racing season in the southern hemisphere!

Always near the top of Santa's list of the naughty, I could have my own F1 team if the hybrid regulations allowed for coal.
With neither basement nor coal furnace, I may instead turn to a more affordable full-scale steam locomotive with 8 wheel drive.
Merry Christmas!

Great post Jim and the words are very fitting. For some of us not a particular great time of year, but your words of reaching out to others, and being of good cheer are what it should be about. Very much a normal day here in rural France, however after days of grim dampness, the sun has shone and it has been pleasant, so I am feeling righteous . What a picture René, from the much missed Tasman Series and two of the greats duelling in two of the best ever cars in my opinion. I seem to recall a certain excitement about the Lotus cars appearing in the new GLTL colours, Ah! the naivety of youth. The beautiful little Ferrari Dino 246 was one of my favourites, and it allowed Chris Amon to really exploit his abundant talent. A very Happy Christmas to you all, and I hope you are all in good cheer enjoying some good food and maybe a tipple or two. Cheers JC

greetings and best wishes to one and all, hope all went well with respective days, wholeheartedly concur Jim et al, a bit of peace in this world of ours that we temporarily rent from the land would go an awful long way, so for me politicians please note: 'peace in our time, would be a wish gratefully granted'
Jim, the Toyota series is one I have not watched but will try and search for it and Rene yet again you come up trumps - the 1968 Tasman series was in my opinion the best that had occurred and what is even better there is an awful lot of it available of ytub

Hi all,
Hope you had a very restful Christmas and best wishes for the season to one and all. On a personal level, I’m very much enjoying some time off from work after what has been a very intensive period indeed.....hence I’ve posted very little of late, but I’m looking forward to catching up on all the posts over the next couple of weeks.
Hope Santa brought you some nice bits and pieces, one of my favourites this year is the Haynes Porsche 956 / 962 owners manual - cracker!
All the best
Jamie

Hi Chris,
It’s been great, non-stop Lego building, but great 😁
Hope this finds you well?

given your skills Jamie Lego building sounds great, I'm still in one piece thanks, although having put the mbike away for winter I'm starting to think that was a mistake as the forecast for the weekend is about 11degrees!!

I don’t think boys ever grow out of Lego, I certainly haven’t at 45 😆
Break the bike out I reckon Chris, a seasonal treat to yourself.
