I popped over to a TVR specialist near to me with a friend last weekend. The premise is normally to grab a free cup of coffee and then talk all things TVR with the owner and his mechanic lol. However, last weekend was slightly different. They had taken a 250GT replica as part-ex for another TVR . . . so naturally we had to see what a 'cheap' 250GT looks like vs the real seven-figure thing Pics should appear here if I have got the uploading correct. The 250GT is built on a BMW Z3 2.8L so has plenty of poke. The interior is probably half-way there (if I owned it i would go all out with some 60s style leather retrimmed seats etc). But it looked half decent inside. Outside - well, I thought it looked really nice! Heavy(ish) doors that shut with a certainty that a fibre glass kit probably has no purpose too. Nice details on the outside including the alloys. Side windows had the first-third opening sliding mechanism which i pesume was a real 250GT thing? I'll confess to being even more tempted by one of the TVR Cerberas . . . but that 250GT replica really does look lovely for what I assume is a pretty affordable kit-car!

I dont think my Samsung S9 camera did it justice from some angles I'll post up what the dealer sells it for: it was a part chop for a TVR S3 wedge . . . so i don't think it's loads of money? (Well, definitely not seven figures!) The pic that looked most like the physical car is the last one - damn my phone doh! I had to laugh at the 4.5L V8 AJP Cerbera engines. Typical British madness, bravo! TVR accountant: "I think we should just use a BMW or Mercedes engine Peter . . . it'll make more financial sense" Peter Wheeler: "Hold my beer . . .!"

Andy, you are not thinking of getting a TVR are you? marvellous sounds
I bow to René's far superior knowledge and awareness of the 250 - as it's not a car that overwhelmed me, now the Aston 214 or 216 we're talking
