Barcelona Grand Prix - CatalunyaThe season finale has been moved from Valencia to Barcelona due to the terrible floods. In any case, a home race for Jorge Martin who could win his first world title here. He is in the best position, but Francesco Bagnaia can theoretically still catch up and has started strongly by taking pole position for the main event. Martin starts fourth. There is also a sprint race on the Saturday. Pecco Bagnaia – Ducati | 1’38.641 Aleix Espargaró – Aprilia | +0,055 Marc Márquez – Ducati | +0,157 Jorge Martin – Ducati | +0,208 Franco Morbidelli – Ducati | +0,245

Francesco Bagnaia won the sprint and Martin finished third. The points difference shrank to 19 but that is still a considerable gap but everything is possible tomorrow.

thanks René, a very tense weekend where Jorge rode with his head and not with his normal attitude and is a worthy champion, Pecco has shown so much class it is untrue, and so much respect goes to the pair of them.
Ominously the testing for 2025 has now started - new colours, new teams, no Repsol, Marc Marquez now at Ducati works team is already bending their ears and the media scrum is enormous- and one can see yet again the similarities between Marc and Michael - yet there are many others who are very competitive and I don't think Marquez will get things his own way, it's going to be interesting- what with Yamaha launching it's V4 and it's new satellite team, and Honda really going for it, worries at KTM with its question marks financially and Aprilla carrying the number one plate and having two riders who are very determined to say the least, and will fan favourite Maverick achieve the new record of a 4th win with a 4th team, you never know with the Mav.
as someone once said 'bring it on'
