A most beautiful cover of a 1970's Alfa Romeo brochure

Very nice indeed. A classy design. I remember sitting in the back of one of those Alfettas, I think with a primary school teacher. And that man smoked cigars... continuously... and I could barely breathe! But a nice car.

Yes, at that time, in the early 70's, apparently, smoking was not considered a health risk. Rather, to smoke was - I believe - considered as a "social skill"; and it was exceptional for an adult person not to smoke tobacco. I also remember smoky cars very well . My aunt (father's sister) had a nice BMW 2002, and I liked to get a drive with them; but she and her husband were also chain-smokers ... My own parents were also both smokers, but luckily, they rarely (if ever) smoked in the car.
My grandfather had a grocery store, and I remember all the tobacco commercials hanging on the walls. A very long-running - and effective, I believe - series of commercials was one produced by a Danish brand called "Prince", where well-known Danes (politicians, popular actors, etc.) were pictured with the text, "I have also switched to "Prince"".
P.S. I wonder if new cars - in the present "no smoking" environment - are still caring for the smoking customer with ashtrays and electric lighters? My own oldish 2005 car has those things - front (ashtray and lighter) and back (ashtray) - just like in "the old days". But I could imagine that a Tesla doesn't have a lighter and ashtrays? I have not kept up with the new-car market recently ...

Yes, those were definitely different times. Both my parents also smoked and as a result my sister and my brothers and myself all did too. Now only one brother of mine still smokes, the rest have long since stopped. And a brochure that I think I showed before, but it's appropriate here. Seventies Ferrari brochures I once got in a Fiat garage when my parents were looking for a new car. I like the transparent sheets with the cavallino and the engine drawing.
