A great (brilliant) poster, with the 1972(?) 312PB in the back - if it hadn't been for that misplaced "robo-godzilla" ...

I think the robot is part an elaborate plan conceived by Roger Penske and engineered by Stan Lee to dominate world endurance racing. The monstrous robot reels in confusion as it turns on the similarly liveried Ferrari, like a Marvel superhero whose utility belt has no utilities and is so constricted that it strangles, depriving the robot of performance enhancing drugs and supplemental power. Driven mad by senility and obsessd by unfair advantages, Penske, if all goes according to plan, can't lose.

Those Porsches really seem to have rainbow colors. Can quickly be seen as Woke among the trump supporters.

Monza 1972 Monza 2023 Fantastic to see the Scuderia race in the same colors 50 years on. And although I like the color scheme of the current F1 car, I would like it even better if they also adopted this classic color scheme.

more dilemmas - Eurosport has this race on, C4 has the British GP, Quest or Eurosport has the Snetterton round of the BSB on, on top of which there is the cricket - although delayed until possibly after lunch and some event at Wimbledon that I was enjoying until Andy knocked himself out but may watch his brother Jaimie, and threats of thunderstorms - oh more fun....on top of which I am thinking I really do need to do a few practical things around the house, there again, no i don't they can always wait until Monday as no golf Monday.
this is the race I would like to go to, having never been to Monza and would never entertain going to the GP there I was looking at this one instead, maybe next year if there isn't a round at Silverstone or Brands, why isn't there a 6 hour race at Silverstone? seems daft to me but there must be a reason, does anyone know
Anyway it is shaping up well great to see Ferrari doing so well and the Porsche starting to develop, it would good if the design of the Peugeot worked and we started to see the reduction in wings -

Choices, choices, hey Chris. Yeah, being at Monza now sounds very good to me as well. Great track, great atmosphere and great cars. A very close qualy as expected. Pole position for Kobayashi in the Toyota #7 but the Ferrari #50 with Antonio Fuoco behind the wheel only 0.017s slower! Brendon Hartley in the second Toyota just behind in 3rd. Strong qualy for Peugeot in 4th with Jean Eric Vergne. Cadillac #2 with Alex Lynn in 5th and the second Ferrari ‘only’ 6th. Antonio Giovinazzi was fastest in every sector but never combined in one lap!

I also enjoyed this race. As expected, another battle between Toyota and Ferrari with Toyota #7 winning again this time and the Ferrari #50 finishing second. The surprise was Peugeot who were finally able to follow the pace although helped by the fact that the Toyotas and Ferraris are loaded with BoPs! Ferrari even to the extent that they felt quite disadvantaged for this home race. The Toyota #8 was a bit of a bumper car first punching out the Ferrari #51 and later hitting other cars. Porsche still has some work to do and you can wonder how wise their choice was to build an LMDh car instead of a more technically advanced Hypercar. It was wonderful to see how many race fans showed up on a day when a Formula 1 race was also held. An estimated 65,000 fans and the podium ceremony was barely inferior to that in Formula 1. This championship has really come alive again!

I wondered what was going on with Buemi as he just seemed to crash into a number of people - the start was farcical, and maybe they should do away with the chicane on the 1st lap which might save some paintwork
A good race that Toyota was just a little bit ahead, but great from Peugeot - hopefully that wil be something they can grow from
Managed to catch most of what I wanted to watch, best competition of the day was clearly the cricket - not that beating the Aussies brings me any pleasure........

Chris, Well said. Peugeot deserves for success to follow its innovation.
The first chicane at Monza is worthless and should be erased entirely to bring back the Curva Grande in all its grandeur.
After Formula E, could loud exhaust have panicked Buemi?
Cheers, Carl

Yes, several large companies, not only in the US but also in, e.g., Northern Europe, have experienced that it has "backfired" to try to please everyone.
In the light of this, I wonder if it's really a good idea that F1 will go for being even more "green" from 2026 ... ?

I think they have no choice Mikael, they would be outplaying themselves if they didn't. And technically it's all possible. Personally I would have no issues with a green F1, racing on synthetic fuel or hydrogen combined with batteries. As long as the racing is good.
