I watched some parts and the last hour of the IMSA race at Watkins Glen yesterday which was nice. It's a great track, very old school. It also reinforced my feeling that they should merge the two championships (IMSA and WEC) altogether. Then you would have a real World Championship. * I moved my post from the Le Mans thread to here… because it makes more sense.  Somehow I cannot move it below Carl’s post.  |

I missed this entirely! A saving grace is my preference not to watch any race lasting that long on television. If I were there, I'd find many ways to stay interested and be engaged, but an entire endurance race on television is too confining for a restless adolescent.
Apparently, the winning Penske Porsche was disqualified after post-race inspection!

René, That may reflect that your rank bestows privileges and high position, or that my original post was deleted several times by a vainglorious bastard wanting to edit it.

I used to love Watkins Glen and would be great if it could return to its former glory but completely missed this race
