The wonderful German Brass ensemble version of J.S. Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D minor, done entirely with brass instruments in the Leipzig Market Square, before an audience of several thousand. There are only ten musicians and several of the trumpets, trombones, French Horns and tubas seem accurate to period designs of the past. Enjoy!
Anecdotally, I am sometimes credited with the concept of "oompah".
Cheers, Carl

That's beautiful Carl!
I think this was the first work by Bach that I consciously heard (at my parents' house) and inspired me to listen more to baroque music and J.S. Bach in particular.
We usually talk about another Sebastian on the forum and he is/was very good at his work but this Sebastian, Johann-Sebastian, is without a doubt the greatest.

Great sound! - but here are some other sounds that I think can rival those put together by J.S. Bach in beauty
Ferrari V10 (2002)
Mazda 787B (1991)
Audi Quattro Group B (1985)

Speaking of wonderful internal combustion, the Audi Quattro footage features a lustful Michèle Mouton enroute to a rendezvous with someone around our table... ...I'll never tell

Hi Carl,
Yes, it was really remarkable that a (physically) small lady could be competitive at the very highest level in rally.
Best,
Mikael

The lady can drive! Wow.
It's just amazing to see how a (former) professional driver can talk casually - and think about what to say - while going sideways at 150 km/h!
I recall reading a report by a journalist who got a drive as a passenger in a Honda NSX, driven by Jenson Button. (It might have been at Suzuka.) A section that impressed me so greatly went approximately as follows:
"The speed by which Jenson negotiated that corner would require utmost concentration for any mortal - but Jenson thought it was an appropriate time for a chat."

Yes, they really are on another level. We all believe we're fantastic behind the wheel of course but the real professionals simply operate in another zone. It's always great to see or read examples of that.
