Glad to see that F1 and the BDRC have taken strong action against Nelson Piquet. There is no call for the way he belittles other drivers, I don't see other world champions doing that. He may have been a brilliant driver but his personal mannerisms leave a lot to be desired in my book.

He may have been a brilliant driver but his personal mannerisms leave a lot to be desired in my book. Amen to that Rob. I know opinions are divided over Piquet but his behavior is reprehensible. A very good driver indeed but he was never a nice guy. Belittling other people says a lot about him as a person. |

I was never a fan of Piquet's ever since I saw him in the 70's at Silverstone in F3, there was something even then I couldn't take to and still can't, what he said was pretty awful, and historically questioning Senna's sexuality and picking on Mansell's wife, I know JC and I have long disagreed about Piquet and my opinion has not changed
I did wonder if part of his behaviour was due to his envy about other drivers popularity?
