Last night I saw a short film on YouTube that had been produced to possibly predict what some of the great drivers who lost their lives when young might look today. It is interesting but should be taken with a pinch of salt in many respects. I found it hard too see how they had Gilles looking so old when he was quite boyish looking and is the same age as me, I hasten to add that I don't look that old and wrinkled . The section featuring Peter Collins was appalling in that hey had actually got the wrong guy when showing him in his youth, I am certain it was the Peter Collins who was involved with Lotus in the early 1990's. Just treat it as some fun.

there is a certain poignancy to this - all those terrible losses - the mix-up with Pete is disgraceful, especially as they got the second picture correct and is so so different from the 'other Peter Collins' one thing was certain had any of them lived their opinions would have been sought

Yeah, also saw that. These kind of short films made with AI are very popular right now. Sometimes nice and sometimes a bit eerie. Senna looks like Kevin Costner in that first shot!

I can see where you are coming from with Kevin Costner. The one I most liked was Bruce McLaren that one looked really plausible. The moving images are indeed very spooky and somewhat disconcerting. Couldn't really see the point of doing Jules though as he would have only been 32 years of age. The one with Peter Collins was truly unforgivable, but in mitigation the people who did this are not motor sport folk.

Thanks John, I found it very poignant and actually very sad. The one thing I really noticed was how kind all their eyes looked in the older versions
