Hi Charles, Spain only gets in with Montjuic Park c1973 - I am rather embarrassed I forgot about that. 1973 was the first season they had 15 Grand Epreuves as DSJ called them. I think the only race on that season's calendar that was unworthy was the Belgium GP at Zolder though I am not sure that Anderstorp was that great. I like Silverstone with Woodcote but every alternate year with Brands would be fine. I like your idea of the European GP changing tracks every here. Mikael thanks for the weather update so Japan would have to move back to October.

Also I am surprised that we haven't thought about Spain; the only venue for me would be Montjuic Park which was a fantastic and challenging circuit.
Interestingly, there was yet another circuit/road course in Barcelona, the Pedralbes Circuit, in use until (and including) 1954. There are some good photos in Piero Taruffi's "The Technique of Motor Racing" (attached here) showing Moss "shadowing" Fangio (in 1954). The circuit looks spectacular - I wonder how modern F1 cars would fare on it ...
