Drivers interviewed after the Abu Dhabi test with the new 18” wheels. It’s actually quite nice and especially worthwhile watching a very enthusiastic Pato O’Ward (13.30m)!
Thanks, René; it's actually very interesting to listen to, the impression of newcomer Pato O’Ward. The "old hands" never care to (or never dare to) express such enthusiasm :-)

I wonder if Patricio will be less enthusiastic when close behind another car and unable to pass. I imagine being able to pass could be more satisfying than tons of download.

O’Ward’s enthusiasm is nice to see but his words also address a major flaw of modern F1. Contemporary F1 cars are works of art from an engineering point of view and obviously ‘insane’ to drive according to Patricio. But are they good race cars? Well, no. Hopefully next years cars will be an improvement.
