Newly crowned world champion Fabio Quartararo will come to Portugal as one of the favorites. Boosted with confidence now the pressure has eased and, he won here earlier this year so it’s a track that suits him well. Interestingly, it was Bagnaia who finished here second and Mir finished third, exactlly the standing in the championship. With the riders’ championship now decided, the main focus will be on the manufacturers’ and team titles, close battles between Ducati and Yamaha.

I think it will be a cracker of a race although we learn that Marquez won’t be there due to concussion from a training accident
I am hoping Johan will break his duck this weekend but it’s Moto2 and moto3 that are now holding everyone’s attention who will win is anyone’s guess but Remy holds a slender lead and all to play for, whereas in moto3 Dennis is on a roll and very determined

Yes Chris, Marquez out after taking a tumble on his dirt bike apparently, he obviously likes terra ferma.
Would love to see Johann win but have a feeling that Miguel might do what he did last year.
Fingers crossed for Remy and Dennis.

if you listened to MotoGP commentary you wouldn't realise Marquez isn't there given the amount he is mentioned, irritating? as if....it is also Valle's penultimate race, and Mat O has done a nice article in MS about the possible consequences of Rossi's retirement, except he will be in the paddock next year managing his team, more merchandise sold methinks
Practice was really exciting, the Ducati's look incredible and one can only hope for their sake they continue this form next year and Pecco is real class and despite the commentators banging on about Marquez I don't think for one moment Pecca or Fabio will be bothered by Marquez next year, also some good speed for Lecuono off shortly to WSB - warm up was far more interesting and this should be a spectacular race, with bets being takes if Mir takes Jack out
Moto2 is the one to watch methinks - especially after this morning's warm up, spectacular
