Can anyone stop Fabio Quartararo from winning his first MotoGP world title? He has a 65 points lead after his Silverstone win and looks very much in command. The only ‘problem’ is that last year at this circuit he didn’t score well and his championship ambitions faded. But I believe he’s stronger now and will not let that happen again. Maverick Viñales will make his race debut on the Aprilla bike as team mate to Aleix Espargaro who scored the Italian’s manufacturer’s first podium at Silverstone. Six races to go in the championship so all is still possible. Certainly Joan Mir could still challenge Quartararo for the title. Bring it on!

I understand Fabio is saying this is his worst circuit and the media was talking up Marquez personally I would love a french 1-2 with Johan the winner When I look at the Portland track and then the Aragon one no surprises as to which one most real racers would pick
We have Jake Dixon on Franco’s knackered old Yamaha and I really hope he has a great race, for Moto2 we have the debut of John McPhee and I really hope he has a wonderful time and they both secure good rides for next year
Oh and I believe some old Italian fellow is riding the works Yamaha no not that one and then if that wasn’t excitement enough a certain Maverick is somewhat raring to go on a rapidly improving Aprilla and the thought has just occurred what the reaction would be if he managed a podium finish
In saying that I am picking Jack as the most likely winner although I do see bagniai being there as well

Over the past few months my enthusiasm for this series is waning and for many reasons, but mainly the way it is orchestrated for the promotion of riders from basically two countries. Also riders who are fortunate enough to get astride the most predominant teams in any of the three classes are the ones who will by and large come out on top.
I agree with Chris above, in that Aragon is not a circuit that I have a great deal of time for, the only thing of note for me is the large stone wall that offers an imposing backdrop from certain angles. Commentators on BTSport can big the place up to their hearts content but to all intent and purpose most of these people just like the sound of their own voices and talk absolute inane nonsense most of the time. Instead of becoming a propaganda machine for riders like Marquez wouldn't it be more interesting to real fans to know why some riders struggle with a certain tyre construction, and how that affects their motorcycles and the way they ride.
That being said I was enthralled with the MotoGP duel between Marquez and Pecco Bagnaia following a weekend of almost dismissive indifference on my part. Pecco was absolutely magnificent in this race, and although Marquez is apparently not at his old level he was an omnipresent threat throughout and one wondered when he would make one of his "killer" moves. I always dread it when Marquez sits so close behind another rider as one always has the feeling that this could end badly. However on this occasion Marquez had every attempt repulsed to absolute perfection from the young Italian who looked like a man on a mission all weekend. It is said by some that once Pecco wins one race that usually opens the flood gate to a host of wins, and this could well be true.
I have no idea what happened to M. Zarco who dropped like a stone through the race and finished at the lower end of the field. He needs to get his head straightened out and sharpish as he is almost replicating what happened with Fabio last year.
Really unfortunate to see Jake Dixon fall early on as he has lots of promise but as he comes from the wrong part of the globe I cannot see him being given any more chances, the like of which are offered to riders with far less potential.

Not sure what to say about the race other than cheer Pecca’s great victory he really did have the edge on Marquez and when Marquez made his attempt Pecca didn’t panic just rode smoothly and retook the lead, twice, I sense John is spot on and I do think the floodgates will open and Fabio needs to look closely over his shoulder after a poor race
I was also disappointed for Jack and especially Johan and wonder how Johan is mentally sad for jake and hope he gets a decent ride next year
Moto2 was amazing and arghhh Sam was a good 2nd when off he went and Raul was just sublime and given his injuries it was a special ride, both he and Remy are going to be real stars in MotoGP and wouldn’t it be something if after all these years of Italian and Spanish domination we have French, Aussie, South African and one day British champions asserting themselves
