After a few eventful weeks both on and off the track, the MotoGP circus has landed in the UK for the British Grand Prix. Cal Crutchlow will be one of the crowd’s favourites replacing Viñales on the factory Yamaha. And another ‘home boy’ Jake Dixon will replace the recovering Franco Morbidelli at the SRT Yamaha team. Fabio Quartararo has a healthy points lead by now so it’s up to Bagnaia, Mir and Zarco to challenge that position if they still have championship aspirations.

Come on Johann you have to win this one or are you determined to be the Chris Amon of MotoGP.
I don't think Crutchlow will be much of a factor even on the latest factory Yamaha, he is too off the pace and into retirement mode. Great to see Jake Dixon given a chance but it is on the two year old machine so he will be up against things from the beginning.

I am voting and hoping for Johan as he really is class, it is on the spectacular Silverstone and there was a discussion on MotoGP about Donington vs Silverstone, with the commentators praising the racing at Silverstone and the spectator values at Donny, firmly coming down on Silverstone's side, I personally don't like Silverstone, never really have, since my 1st visit in 1977, but what Mat Oxley and others are saying from a racers perspective it is brilliant to race there, whereas Donington less so, having not raced at either I can't comment.
If not Johan, then Fabio, Vive la France!! wouldn't it be something if we had a French GP champion after all these years of Spanish and Italian domination, maybe encourage more Northern European racers amongst our South African and Aussie friends
Missing Maverick, who is down to test the Aprilla this weekend, maybe given Aleix's recent speed it may not be such a bad move - but we will see

well that was some race, well done to Fabio who was really the class of the field, not sure what happened to Johan, but so pleased for Aleix, still a reluctant Aprilla appreciativer as how they treated Scott and Sam, but Maverick must be starting to think maybe this isn't such a bad move,
Marquez' senior ruined his and Ducati's race, Jack and Johan started to get their tyres to work at the end whilst at the other end Valle and Bagnai and Marquez junior went the opposite way, good to see Jake finish and one hopes he may be seen in the premier class next year,
Moto2 was a lesson, Young Gardner next year is going to be exceptional,
Moto3, well done Fenati, will he be in Moto2 next year? and barely a mention for John McPhee whose ride from very last to 10th then dropped two to 12th was brilliant,
all in all a good race and at least it was dry, something that the crowd appreciated,

Nothing to add here to Chris' comment as it is pretty much spot on.
