Will we see another Yamaha win and can Fabio Quartararo extend his championship lead in Spain? There are certainly enough Spanish riders who have different plans about that! Viñales, Mir, Espargaro or Márquez! By the way, is Marc the only one who can ride a Honda? Third in FP1! And Binder on the KTM fastest! This will be close again!

it certainly is Rene, I saw the practice yesterday, phew, some very entertaining riding, they all look good, Brad its great for South Africa and motorbike racing to see him doing so well but Pecco is really hooking it all up, but my money is on the Maverick, I think he has something to prove this weekend, and apparently he got a load of abuse on social media after Portugal and has closed his social media links down, which is a shame for real fans, but really don't blame him or any other sportsman who suffers from this online bullying and abuse,
Marquez still looks tentative to me and I wonder if caution has crept into his riding and whilst he may still be the quickest Honda will he reach previous heights? I am not convinced
Moto2, looks likes the most exciting of the three/ four if you include MotoE, series, Sam back on top, but Raul and Wayne along with Joe and Bezzi look really competitive, whereas Moto3 John did not have a good day so that was disappointing
but my word am I looking forward to a great race - especially as there seems to be a lot of rumours flying around for next year

wow what a series of sessions, breathtaking and very scary, Marquez's accident in Practice 3 was about as horrific as one can get without serious harm to oneself, so pleased he is ok,
but Fabio has done it again, this boy is looking good, hope he goes well again tomorrow and nice to see Jack back up there as well as one or two others really exciting

It would appear that Fabio has regrouped after the disasters of 2020 and is now in absolute control, just an amazing performance today on a bike he says is just like his 2019 machine. On the 2019 machine we also have a great performance from Frankie Morbidelli and the lad is not at all happy with having to be riding what is a two year old machine. I can understand his obvious frustrations when his "elderly" and "illustrious" team mate is not doing justice to a full 2021 machine on the other side of the garage.
A bit of chatter in the BT commentators box about the possibility of Yamaha swapping Frankie for Maverick in 2022, contracts or no.
Marc Marquez did indeed have a spectacular crash on Saturday morning, and he was lucky to get away with that and so was his team mate who replicated the crash later in the morning. Marc also had some typical saves during qualifying but was no where near challenging the top placings and looks quite some way off.
Good to not only see Jack Miller as top Ducati, although they do not appear "special" here, and also Nakagami going so well as top Honda rider after his big fall two weeks ago.

Absolutely delighted for Jack Miller, what a great win and hopefully that will shut up all the negative comments he is getting on the various sites populated by juveniles who have no idea what it is to race a motorcycle. Fabio's "arm pump" was truly awful to watch being the lad tumble down the order from what should have been yet another dominant win.
I really am beginning to wonder at the nature of this sport is at currently where young men are having to get invasive surgery to alter their bodies so that they can ride these modern day race bikes. This is surely not right and should be, and have been, the major focus of the authorities in researching why this is happening and what can be done to prevent this from continuing.
If a fit young man cannot cope with riding these bikes then it is the machine and technology that needs changing not the human body. I am astounded that this hasn't been given more priority, couldn't be that it might get in the way of money making could it.

in some respects a real disappointment in all categories in other respects I was so pleased for Jack, someone who really has gone through the ranks and I was genuinely pleased for him, there must be something about the pressure riding for Ducati works team as they always seem to be wanting to sack a rider or not, so well done Jack, so sad for Fabio who was the class of the field all weekend until physical problems intervened, but the biggest disappointment was yet again Maverick, I won't lose faith in him but wonder if Yamaha will, I just don't know what is going to get him back amongst the garlands. Maybe as John suggests above swopping him with Frankie may be the best thing for all, in saying that given his contradictory riding he may well win next time out and all will be forgiven,
Pecca was good, Zarco less so and Marquez did very well, especially after the crash the day before, but Honda are not impressing and one wonders how far they have dropped behind or their true status has been disguised by Marquez's bravery - pleased in a way for Aprilla - as this was done on merit and although the stories around Dovi have gone quiet one wonders what is going on there,
the big news is of course is Rossi's confirmation that Sky46 will be in MotoGP next year but with whom is not known, and aside from his brother who else wll be riding the bikes, although one suspects it will be an Italian...
Moto2 was a riding class by Di Gini, excellent ride as was Bezzi, well done to Sam for finishing 3rd - though he rode a clever race and the two RB machines with Raul and Remy less so but still the 5 of them were just the class of the field, and at the moment are just so far ahead in the races -poor Jake was ruled out yet again, my word this guy needs some good luck
Moto3, well he did it again, I mean John of course, not the winner, so disappointed and wonder where John goes from here, hope he has a Moto2 ride for next year as he really is up against it, so so gutted for him
the question in my head is do we need another category? Moto3 is 250cc single cylinder and Moto2 is 765cc of pure Triumph 3 cylinder beauty so should we consider a Moto2.5 of say 500cc, there are a number of engines out there that may suit, wonder if this sparks any comments elsewhere, given what Rob was saying about Giancarlo and MS, just wondering......

news that the French GP will be 'live' on terrestrial TV [ITV4] for the 1st time in many years is interesting and good news, shame that in all three main categories only 3 Brits are racing, wouldn't it be great if some of the BSB guys got a shot as they did a long time ago
