Two wins for Yamaha so far but a Ducati rider is leading the championship! Can Johann Zarco finally win this time? The Ducati seems to suit him very well so that only seems a matter of time. The talk of the town however will be the return of Marc Márquez. Will he be back up to speed from the word go? Or is this super rider not a super human after all? It will be interesting to follow.

now we are talking, a real circuit, gosh this is going to be some weekend,
the return of Marquez is going to be interesting, will he be circumspect or hell for leather and 'reassert' his dominance, or can he? it is going to be fascinating and I look forward to some of the answers
I am going for Zarco,he is such a great a great rider and personality who seems to be developing weekly, I just think he is adding brains to his speed, seeing how the Yamaha's go will be fascinating and if Rossi actually does himself justice but one thing is for sure it will be exciting
Moto2 will continue to be a real battle and will Sam and Remy continue their fight
Moto3, is drawing a lot of attention from other riders, John McGuiness is the latest rider who is joining us in expressing his concerns of the standards of riding and how this mentality of win at any cost especially at your cost is going to cause some serious incidents

Yep! Marquez is back , but he very nearly copped it in going for a quick lap towards the end, it was touch and go there. I think Miguel; Pecco and Fabio will have a bit too much for him this weekend however/ As much as i would like to see Johann Zarco win I would also really like to see Miguel win in his home country once more, a class act if ever there was one.

my word this is a 'real' circuit, Marquez is back, as the commentators reminded me every 5 seconds, forgotten how annoying they are in their adulation, but it is some comeback, wish him well and am looking forward to a brilliant race here, I do hope the Yamaha's go well and are up there, today is going to be fascinating.
Talking of special, Raul Fernandes in M2 is looking just that as Moto2 is shaping up for a brilliant year, Sam, Remy and Joe amongst them, some great riders who deserve MotoGP seats and that would be great to see.
Moto3 seemed a bit more sensible so far, and John and his bete noir have made up, but judging by the size difference it maybe just as well - hope John has a great race from the pitlane

Wonderful circuit and some great racing on Sunday. Fabio seems to be back to his old self, full of confidence and on this form he is going to take some beating. However I wonder how much the change in tyre characteristics have a part to play in this. This year the Yamaha's seem to be much better than last season and this has been to the detriment of KTM who cannot work with the current front tyre.
You do not see Miguel Oliveira crash very often and on a circuit he dominated at the end of last year would tend to support this fact about the front tyre. I wonder how much lobbying goes on by manufacturers towards suppliers like Michelin.
A great ride by Bagnaia on the factory Ducati, maybe a just a little too late but a fine second place ahead of Mir and Frankie right behind him. So sorry for Johann Zarco who looked so good, but as the BTSport team mentioned he was trying hard and you cannot complain about a rider doing that. The Ducati's certainly looked a bit cumbersome in the turns compared with the Yamaha and Suzuki machines.
Marc Marquez rode very well and bravely to finish inside the top ten, many thought that would be too much for him. One could see that he does not have the strength in his damaged arm and that is hindering him.
Sam Lowes, what can one say. So dominant in the first two races then chucks it down the road at the first corner, he needs to sort that out and fast. Good to see Joe Roberts back up the front and Remy is picking up the points after another good ride.
In Moto3 the pit lane penalties ruined what could have been a great race, and at least made the 16 year old wonder work for the win. In reality John McPhee had no chance and would have been better off getting a one race ban rather than waste his Sunday afternoon with an impossible task.

how brilliant was that? honestly had me on the edge of the edge of the seat, wonderful, just wonderful. Great qualifying marred by two penalties, ok they were right to but, it was a shame that both Pecco's and the Maverick's times were cancelled as the race could have been so different,
My word do those Ducati's launch off the line? a great start and watching Marquez back to his tricks brought mixed thoughts, overwhelming respect for his dogged determination, but concern as well for him, that arm just does not have the strength he needs to ride at the top, I wish him well for Spain but also have concerns for him. But Fabio was just Fab, clever, precise and clear in thought, just what one needs and so fast, the battle with Alex was one of legend in the making but eventually the pace proved too much for the Suzuki, something we are not accustomed to,
Quite right John the tyre is really playing a mammoth part in success/ failure and that must get so frustrating for teams, the KTM's just were not at the party unless they made incredible starts and rode brilliantly aka our South African star who was exceptional in my mind as was Aleix on the Aprilla, gaining points on merit was good to see.
I was so disappointed when Johan slipped out, apparently he went down two gears to 1st instead of 2nd but my word he and Pecca were stars and rode exceptionally well. I also thought both Luca and his team mate, also a good ride from Franco, all in all a very exciting race that captivated so much,
Maverick was not impressive and so sad to see I haven't read as to what his problem but am guessing it was the rear tyre and not getting it going, in hindsight he would have been better off on the medium tyre, poor from Jack and whilst Rossi got some speed together was another kitty litter victim, wonder if he is making up his mind for next year or if it is being decided. Bravest rider of the day? Marquez? no, Nakagami, was a real hero
Moto2 was a resounding disappointment for British fans, Sam made a poor start and paid the price for it, it looked a nasty accident but am relived to hear he is just bruised, he really needs to get back to winning ways, but I suspect the winner who I rated in M3 last year will be a very tough opponent this year, we now have 5 contenders at this stage and they all look very good. So no more mistakes Sam, or Jake come to that,
John you have put it perfectly in your Moto3 comments, we do have yet another wonderkid in Alcoba but so feel for John, surely he will have some good fortune soon?

Goodness me Chris, I forgot about that excellent ride of Brad's and of course Aleix, both excellent rides indeed.
You are correct about Johann Zarco going down two gears instead of one which brought about his fall. Apparently it appears that there was a glitch in the gearbox system that caused this so nothing the poor guy could do about it, such a shame but he seems calm about it.
Frankie's ride was also very good and made up for the disappointment of the previous two races. There was much comment on BTSport about the fact he still had to make do with an old bike and not the factory latest model, it would seem he isn't too pleased about this. Maybe they should swap him with the "up & down" Maverick, who seems hell bent on ruining his own career with these indifferent performances.
