After a weekend of rest, the MotoGP continues with the next triple header on the calendar. First is France on the Bugatti Circuit of Le Mans. Yamaha last triumphed at Le Mans in 2017 when Maverick Viñales took the victory. It could just be Fabio Quartararo's turn this weekend, and he would be the first French winner on home soil! In 2017 Johann Zarco came to second place but never did a French rider win his home Grand Prix (in MotoGP or 500cc). Amazing actually.
Also here in the north of France the weather could be a big factor.

I am going to take a punt on Johann, he looks to be going well in tricky conditions today, surprising as it has been quite warm and sunny here about 90 minutes further north. It would be good to see a French guy win their own GP and why not M. Zarco .

well, it looks really interesting, the weather was dreadful during the M3 practice and sure enough a lot of repair work was needed a good couple of sessions for John , a nasty accident for Marini but Jake and Sam doing extremely well, it is a travesty that Jake and John are fighting over one seat,
MotoGp, exciting, dramatic and with all kinds of happenings, brilliant, the Ducati's look good, driller Miller awesome, Dovi going down the road, and Fabio taking it carefully, Maverick doing as normal, the Suzi's looking good, Honda looking better and with more talk of Marquez and his return, I have also plumped for Johan, he is looking fast, certainly feel he is a front row prospect and is getting in the mood, and he is a winner so yup go man go

Very tricky weather conditions at Le Mans today and a fine win by Petrucci in MotoGP where the weather played to his strengths after what has been a wretched season for him. His size and weight are not a handicap in the wet and more an advantage so good on him for a well ridden race.
Still trying to get my head around the younger Marquez's performance in finishing second; plaudits were effusive from the BTSport commentary team who seem to take an unhealthy interest in supporting Alex when many riders who perform at his level earlier would have been binned.
So many disappointing performances especially all of the Yamaha men who were rubbish, capped by Rossi crashing out yet again and this time at the first corner. Probably time to consider team management Valentino.
Johan Zarco dropped right back in the first half of the race and then towards the end was faster than anyone finishing a fine 5th; but what was the issue, must have been a set up matter with the bike set for a drying track which did not come soon enough.
Moto2 was the most compelling race of the day and everything looked set for a stunning Jake Dixon debut win. The lad was on fire and looked to have the race win in the bag, only to drop the bike close to the end. The boy was desolate and inconsolable afterwards, however he should take heart in the fact that he demolished the best of Moto2 along with a great ride by Sam Lowes who eventually won the race.
Seeing the two British lads running first and second was so good, and I am not overly nationalistic. Also two superb rides by Remy Gardiner and the unlucky pole sitter American Joe Roberts who produced an outstanding ride from the back of the pack (even behind the pace car) to finish a brilliant sixth.

wow, I was out on the bike [fabulous ride to Dumfries area- whilst we are still allowed] but watched it all upon return,
in Moto3 what does John have to do to get some good fortune?
Moto2, was one of the very best races and really really feel for Jake, this is what we know he can do, I think Sam would have caught him anyway and Jake deserved to be on that podium, hopefully that would have done him a great deal of good, well done to Sam, 4 years mate and you did it, you were sheer class and deserved
MotoGP - well three riders whom I am a fan of, rode brilliantly, shame Johan's tyres didn't come in earlier as a podium was a definite possibility - the Yamaha's were dreadful but at least they fought, thought Rins quick but I know he is injured but I just see him as fragile, nice to see Cal back up there fighting, all in all a great race and we have another one in a few days time! hopefully the weather stays a bit nicer, but there again
