Some statistics that may interest you guys. MotorSport magazine had four separate articles covering the Italian GP, a preview, qualifying report, race report and race analysis. A total of 33 comments was made on those four articles. RoRT had 29 comments on the same GP. Maybe the watchmakers should be advertising their wares here. Yes, Mark Hughes' articles were focal points at MSM (just like like those of Mat Oxley are). Once the Grand Prix reports started to be written by somebody else, the interest melted away very quickly. Makes you wonder to what extend the reports now are read at all - and if the sales numbers for the magazine (hard copies) are affected in a similar way?

I still get my 'hard' copy each month and whilst it is not what it once was I still enjoy it, but fear the lack of MH and MO's involvement, I was reassured some time ago that they have a faithful sponsor and MS will not wither - I hope not, but it is noticeable the lack of comments which used to number in hundreds seem to be in tens now, with most of the contentious idiots seemingly gone, but where is not known.
I did note that Mark has written up his race report this morning, which I have not had time to read

I did note that Mark has written up his race report this morning, which I have not had time to read I have just taken out a subscription for MotorSport as I quite enjoy the articles. The magazine doesn't quite enthrall me as it used to. Now takes about a month to read instead of devouring it in 24 hours back in the 70s.

On the topic of magazines, and Motorsport, I have just been "given" free use of an App by my other half's son. He has got a subscription through his work to "Readly" which allows access to hundreds of magazines, and I mean hundreds. Included is Motorsport and last evening I spent a hour or two reading some of the October edition, I have to say it was quite good for a modern MS.
I especially liked the Lunch With Jonathan Palmer, that guy has had an amazing career and done wonders for UK race circuits.
