Yesterday lunchtime the white Jim Clark Lotus Elite arrived, a very pretty little model indeed and another addition to my Jim Clark collection. It has beautiful photo-etched door window framework and wire wheels with little two eared knock off hubs.
Now waiting for the Ronnie Alfa Romeo T33/3 to arrive which is in transit, and just found out that Spark have released the 1976 British GP March 761 that he drove at Brands Hatch so that will have to join the collection.

Ronnie's Alfa Romeo T33/3 arrived this morning and looks very pretty, the display box and case wrapped in quite thick protective plastic which limits a clear look to a degree. I like to keep the wrap on as the display case these models are in is not completely dust tight, and until I can make it so the wraps stay on. I might be able to slip them out later for a photo op'. |

MINIATURES NEWS Corgi's recent new lines include a Land Rover towing a Rice-Beaufort horsebox and an exceedingly detailed 2 7/8ths inch long Mini Cooper. The former is a Gift Set (No. 15) costing 13s. 6d. The Mini Cooper miniature sells for 7s. 6d. and the reference is Corgi No. 334. With opening roof, opening doors, a bonnet lid which lifts to reveal a dummy engine detailed even to oil-filler and plugs, etc., tip-up seats and a detailed facia, this is a model which should please all Mini fans. Corgi have issued a new catalogue of all their motor miniatures, price 6d. --- W.B. |

Brilliant Carl! That does not look like the original Land Rover model made by Corgi. I have one and it has a pressed tin plate rear canopy not a plastic injection moulded version, neither does it have what look like "Whizz Wheels" . The Rice horse box does look very good however. |
