I’ve always loved Ferrari’s in yellow.......if ever I was in a position to order a new one it would say Giallo Fly in the colour choice box 👍

Drool. . What a stunning and sexy car the 365 GTB/4 is, just fantastic. And yes, yellow looks cool.

And I'd love to know what car had been aboard the rosso corsa trailer just outside Luigi Chinetti Motors in the early 1960s, judging by the parked cars. Cheers, Carl
Must have been a Superamerica or a 250. Don't have my Ferrari Catalogue Raisonne 1946-81 with me to see what else could have been around at the time.
I wonder what was the perception at that time of Ferrari as an exclusive marque, in the US or elsewhere. Quality-wise they must have been quite dodgy, only in more "modern" times, say after Montezemolo took over as president, they positively raised the bar.
Yes, a 250 GT or 400 Superamerica are the most likely as they were newly introduced in 1960. A few years later but the same atmosphere is this cover and advertisement I have hanging on my wall. On the left a Autosport cover with new champion John Surtees pictured in his (NART) Ferrari and on the right an original 1965 French advertisement with the then current range of models. I love the fact that the complete ad is an illustration.

I would like to be a millionaire only to afford a Daytona and a 935. And that would be it for me.

I always like the steely determination of race car drivers in drawings. One or two must occasionally have a goofy expression! The photograph must be at the hairpin in Mexico of the Ferrari in NART colors after pride was offended. Cheers, Carl

In the days when Autosport was a great weekly magazine, not the ill-informed tawdry rag it is today.

Rene just how many slot cars do you have in your collection? You seem to have got just about every model I dreamed of.

He has quite a few Rob . My favourite Kremer 935K3 just has to be the Bob Wollek Vaillant version, what glorious shade of green, a lovely thing indeed. The Apple version a close second.

And a big bunch of shells that still need to be build up as slot cars but that is probably something for when I retire! I just love collecting all these historic race cars and as you can see, the quality of the cars can easily compete with many die cast models.

New version of the 488 Pista announced, to commemorate the Scuderia's recent achievements: the 488 Undici Delusioni. It will sell by the boatload. Lovely.
