sheesh Rene, my word = brilliant, probably a silly question but you guys must be used to that after a few years, on the bikes most folk have these tiny camera's capturing and in some instances perhaps better they didn't - given the speed we were travelling at, honestly officer, my late friends speedo was incorrect [we weren't doing 250kph- honestly]
anyway Rene is it possible to put one of the micro camera's on one of your cars and do a tape of the circuit?
Rene, A closer look at the pit lane filled with beautiful 312 prototypes reveals an unusual level of confusion at Ferrari. The team manager sitting on the pit wall is curious, but not yet worried by what has stunned the mechanic, a team car approaching at five times the pit speed limit, its co-driver advising how to approach with a gentle right hand maneuver before grabbing the mechanic and diving into the pit box for protection.
In the role of devil's advocate I submit a question, sacrilegious in Maranello even though hypothetical: for occasional heightened drama, does the Ferrari prototype team in your attic have a crazy driver?

Carl, nothing unusual to the confusion at the Ferrari team! Italian drama as usual!
They say the person who drives these cars makes even Art Merzario look normal...

Chris, I already did a few years ago. The track/scenery was not ready but it gives an idea. Let's see if this works on here...just a short clip.
Unfortunately no sound. But I'll do a new one soon. I have some ideas...
Edit: I managed to fix the sound. Even if it sounds like an FE car on steroids, it still adds to the speed experience.

That is actually really fascinating, René. Just the thought that something like that is possible at all. When thinking about the efforts it took to film from a real, size 1:1, car not that many years ago. That's real technological progress!
Hi guys talking about different hobbies, have a look at this from my life in SA.
Wauw! That's a masterpiece, Rob. Fascinating to see! And interesting to listen to how it changed the way you look at the world surrounding us, to that of an artist.

Yeah you're right. The development of digital camera technique over the past 10/15 years has been phenomenal and they still improve with every new model.
We are still from a generation that grew up with analogue photo and film cameras and 24 or 36 photos on a photo roll! The younger generation has no idea!
PS I managed to fix the sound in my original post.
As René points out the advancement of small digital cameras in recent years is astounding. I have mentioned in other comments that I have quite a new interest in drones/quadcopter and the cameras in those are incredible. My first drone bought in September of last year was OK but from a photographers point of view that camera and its mounting to the drone was not of an acceptable quality to me.
So I therefore decided to purchase something better and saw a great offer in a French Photographic online store which was far better than anything available price wise in the UK. However demand at the time outstripped supply and then we had the Covid 19 outbreak which stopped all shipments from China (nearly all commercially available drones a re manufactured in China).
The drone finally arrive two weeks ago and it is amazing, only 249 grams in weight ready to fly and has a camera that is truly outstanding considering its specification (2.7K video and 12mp photo). The camera is mounted via a gimbal which keeps everything smooth & stable when shooting video and the quality is stunning.
So after that roundabout explanation there is no reason why a small camera cannot be used for many things, as René excellent film illustrates.

René the thought of making a single lane hill climb track is appealing and could well be done in quite confined circumstances and yet still have a lengthy track. I do have quite a large Scalextric set but although having a sizeable property I do not have the room, so much "crap " everywhere. I also have a large Aurora set with numerous cars of different types that date back to the 1970's, great fun but not quite the scale model detail that I like, although that being said some are really good for such a diminutive size.
I will think on about the possibility of the hillclimb track/
