Marc Márquez has already won the title but don’t expect him to go slow in Japan! Honda will want to win their home race and secure the constructor’s title. Also for Yamaha this is their home race and first signs are good; Viñales fastest in FP1 and Quartararo in FP2. Can Fabio finally win his first race? Ducati will look for revenge and secure second in the championship with Dovi.

my word Japan is one internationally busy place at the moment! what with F1 last weekend, MotoGP this weekend and a rather large Rugby competition going on, sadly my lot were knocked out by the hosts but we have a wonderful line up this weekend, which is going to be some juggling act with the MotoGP and BSB
Thus far the Yams [apparently Carl that is an American slang word?] are dominant and I am hoping that the Quat breaks his duck, and I am so looking forward to the next three races with a very fired up Zarco completing and competing the line up,
the circuit is excellent and the fans are brilliant - another reason to visit this amazing country- but tomorrow rain is forecast so we will see Sunday, but I am really looking forward to this race, with Moto3 John doing well and Sam doing a good job in M2-

I first heard it on this forum.
But then I dislike most abbreviations because they take away for all time the original word and its meaning. Ask young people what "app" stands for and some will look at you as though you're dense.
Cheers, Carl

It would be good if young Fabio did manage a win, he really deserves it after the recent performances he has had, especially after being "mugged" by Marquez a few times.
I am looking forward to seeing Johann Zarco on the 2018 Honda while Nakagami has his shoulder operation, surely it is a better bet than the KTM which was not suited to him at all. Rossi apparently is very upset at Yamaha loosing Zarco as a possible Test Rider for 2020; the reality being that if Johann was on that bike he and Fabio would be vying for race wins, period!

well, Marquez is just so much more than anyone else at this moment, it wasn't a great race but I enjoyed it nonetheless - I briefly joined another forum about motorbike racing and dared to voice an opinion and was quickly dissuaded from ever doing so again, just makes me more appreciative of this little group of polite enthusiasts and my thanks to Rene for continuing to include MotoGP in this forum.
I am looking forward to the Aussie GP, the circuit is excellent and with the weather less Southern European I am hoping for a change at the top and of course watching Zarco and fervently hoping he does very well there.
