Summer break is over and the teams are preparing for the Belgian Grand Prix and the second half of the season. Title #6 for Lewis seems inevitable but there is still a lot to look forward to, not least two of the most magnificent and legendary circuits in the world, Spa and Monza! Then there will surely be news re. the driver market (Bottas/Ocon/Hulk) soon. There's Albon in the Red Bull and the orange legion for Max will be in full force at Spa. And can Ferrari finally win a race in 2019? The next two races are their best chance so c'mon Seb and Charles!

Come on Charles! I want a Ferrari win here to shake things up......though, in an ideal world, Albon would set pole, win the race with fastest lap and begin an unstopable march towards a first drivers crown in 2020.....
One can dream.

His understandable pent-up frustration may propel Leclerc to a win, to a mutiny against Ferrari subverting his chances, or into whoever gets in his way, and he'll probably take it anyway it comes.

great picture of Graham - am guessing 1965 when a certain driver destroyed the field
not sure we can look outside Lewis - as I do feel Ferrari will be looking to next year now, maybe a Renault will do it and quieten the detractors, but this is F1 at the best GP circuit where racers win, so I go for the Hulk with his swan-song

I want Seb to win... but to vote that i think he would... seems like tempting fate... especially given how ghastly luck has been.

Cheers from a very sunny Spa! Rene, We should have known you'd sneak off to Spa-Francorchamps without proper notice. Aren't motor racing website administrators obliged to provide choice seats to members with divine status?
You certainly know your way around one of the great historic venues. Are you camping or staying at a hotel? Either way, you'll be basking in alternating deep pools of orange and rosso corsa.
Forza Ferrari! Ga Leclerc! - Carl

Carl, I thought if I tell them they all want to come! I have not been to any other meetings this year and we've postponed the Monza trip also to next year so I am enjoying this one very much. Not camping and no hotel, it's only an hour drive. The friday is always great to walk around the track and see the cars at different spots. It's already crowded but not as much as on the saturday and sunday so you can still move around. Today we stay home and watch qualy on tele and tomorrow we will get up really early to find a good spot. I know the track quite well as I have been coming there since 1983. Only missed a couple of races since then. The Dutch fans are there 'en masse', really unbelievable. It was crazy with the Germans during the Schumi years but this exceeds everything. And the fact that most are dressed in orange makes them even more present. Max will have to sign a Ferrari contract though if he wants my support!

Very, very sad news from Spa. Formula 2 racer and Renault F1 junior Anthoine Hubert was killed in a horrific crash during the F2 feature race at the Raidillon in a multi car crash. Condoleances to his family and friends. Rest in peace Anthoine Hubert.
