received this months Motor Sport magazine, I do like Joe Dunn's style and it does seem to reflect past glories and modern awareness- just hope it keeps on rolling,
wonderful piece about Jimmy's museum with Dario driving the Lotus Cortina down to the museum and how evocative that is, and having visited Duns and its new home it is wonderful and must have been so exciting to have driven this piece of motor racing magic to it's new home
interesting article on the Brawn winning car and there seems so much and yet feels there could be so more, but another good read and now, after all the magazines I used to read, Autosport, MCN, Autocar, the specialist ones and now all i get is MS and Ride magazine [it does some brilliant stuff on trips and reviews] and it does make you wonder where this will go

MS brought us all together and will always hold a special place in my written word pantheon.....it’s been such a constant from when I was a small boy that not devouring it every month would be like turning my back on a family member. It’s been through the usual peaks and troughs and, I agree with you Chris, it’s definitely on an upslope at the moment. The changes made by Joe Dunn have been positive on the whole 👍

Also, has anyone seen a new mag called ‘the road rat’ at all? It’s more of a bookazine than a mag, a real weighty collectible.........it’s very good and I urge you to google it and tell me what you think of the cover to the latest version?? It’s brilliant, maybe the best mag cover I’ve seen as it combines two (in fact more than two) of my very favourite things..........have a look 😉

Hi Jamie, always great to hear from you,
just had a quick look at road rat, my word that is some cover, with the best band that has ever been and although the McLaren was special I prefer the 2nd edition's car, but they are massive, did you buy them online? weighing at over a kilo each that is some read, in saying that I am tempted
incidentally road rat is an interesting title, in the 70's the Road rats were bunch of very tough Hell's Angels on the opposing side to the all England Hell's Angels, and if memory serves they were involved in the Chelsea Bridge shootings in the mid-70's - but they were hard, wonder what other connotations road rats have?

I bought the 2nd and third editions and will no doubt add the first....a really good read. I just love the cover of issue 3....l’m a sucker for that graphic style, it just screams 60’s cool Britannia and the Beatles ......George Harrison is perhaps the coolest man ever to set foot on the planet. There’s a really nice piece in there about how George and Gordon Murray met on the first Concorde flight and became best friends and then about how George specced up his Mclaren to include the mystical elephant symbol in several different places, including one within the carbon fibre lay up on the chassis in a place that only George and Gordon knew about......I really enjoyed it, George Harrison is a God.
