Hi fellow round tablers, I hope you have all been enjoying the F1 summer break. I'd like to start a thread on the 2021 technical and commercial regulations, there is quite a bit of information coming through on these now, so I think it would be interesting to share news on this, as well as our opinions and insights. The most recent information I have seen concerns the new aero regulations. There is some video clips of wind tunnel testing of the 2021 car on You Tube - and articles about it on the Motorsport website - www.motorsportmagazine.com/news/f1/f1-2021-design-changes-said-be-exceptional-after-wind-tunnel-testsand other websites www.grandprix247.com/2019/08/22/2021-formula-1-car-in-the-wind-tunnel/racer.com/2019/08/23/f1-2021-design-goals-put-to-the-test-in-the-wind-tunnel/While I'd like to see more open regulations that allow teams to innovate, and feel that the adoption of common brake systems, radiators, wheels, pit equipment etc (and even potentially a power unit development freeze) is pushing F1 towards being more of a spec series, isn't it great that after decades of F1 technical regulation by dictate of the FIA, or Bernie E, this time they will be developed to meet a specific set of objectives, and will be based on actual engineering and testing? What about the new regulations has caught your interest? and how do you think things are shaping up for the new era starting in 2021?
