good morning fellow scribes- I regularly attend the above exhibition at the beginning of the year in Coventry and thoroughly enjoy both the atmosphere and events, last years highlight being the Lotus 33 and the rather 'i have a wire loose' rally cars racing outside,
has anyone else been or are considering going?

Chris, no I haven't, a bit out of the way for me.  But I had a look at the website and it looks like a great show. Would be nice if you could post some photos of the show some time! |

It sounds like a really good event Chris, but like René it is a little out of the way for me now.
Was the Lotus 33 the one that had been kept in a secret collection for many years and now released to the public by the benefactor?
If you are able some photos would be good to see, if not from past events but maybe the one early next year.

It really is a very nice - typical Midlands - affair, I saw Stirling there a few years ago - friendly and signing, last year a very polite Freddy Spencer, although it was heavily sponsored by MotorSport they were not very approachable, but it is an excellent way to start the calendar, that is, when one can't afford the trip to Australia
but yes i do have some photo's that [and Rene please bear with me mon ami] of the 33 released from private hands, and of the 4wd Cosworth F1 car - so here goes....sorry Apple have just updated my computer and is not playing - so will try tomorrow chaps </attachment></attachment></attachment></attachment></attachment></attachment>

Hi Chris, I expect I’ll be going as it’s a cracking event, very relaxed with some great cars on display. I went last year to see the 33 and I’m very glad I did! I'm looking forward to the Q & A with Brian Redman - what an outstanding career he had. Also, MS have a display celebrating Jaguar's history at Le Mans so if they have any Group C cars there I'll be a very happy man......Brundle's Ralt F3 car as well, I could go on........ |

I think I have it sussed now but I can't get any pictures to show when I try to link them from Dropbox? I'm still doing something wrong obviously. I can link web based pictures ok but when I want to attach some from my own collection via dropbox.....nothing. |

Jamie,
Try first sending the photographs from Dropbox into your computer photo files. Just an idea. No guarantee. Like the idiot savants in Silicon Valley who design them, computers are sometimes quite stupid.

I use postimage: postimg.org/Upload the picture, then right click "Copy Image Location" and paste it here in a message. |
