Can anyone stop Marc Márquez? The support for the Italian riders and the Ducati team will surely be strong at Mugello so let's hope that helps!

I am going for a wild punt on young Quartararo who was astonishing in qualifying. Everyone was in raptures about Marquez eventual pole lap but his earlier move on Dovi in qualifying was appalling, and although he did a good lap yet again he made full use of following a very fast Ducati. A few years ago Hector Barbera was often almost mocked for pulling a quick lap after following someone, yet when Marquez does it, Oh! that is amazing!!
That lap deprived the brilliant young Frenchman of a worthy and incredible pole, all done on his own without a semblance of a tow and on a bike that is well down on straight line speed, some sense of proportion could have been applied by the somewhat low level BT commentary team.

excellent words JC, and summed up for me about MM, it will be a helluva race and the Dorna commentators wept in rapture of the brilliance of a sick MM in qualifying, well he was good and clever but Quartararo and several other youngsters are making a lot of headway, methinks a change at the top is coming, I do think we are getting to the stage several riders who are ageing may well be seeking pastures anew and I do wonder how Lorenzo would be going on the Ducati this year..
I also think the trend is to now quickly condemn a rider who has swapped teams and isn't winning to the heap, which is a bit like F1, Lorenzo will come good and that will rattle Honda, he is a remarkable rider and one of the best in recent years, although not to my taste personally but as a rider he is special, as is Zarco who is not looking good on the KTM, but he is a class act who could be without a ride at some stage, which is ridiculous, the same could be said of Iannoe he isn't my favourite rider but he is quick, and again being condemned without a fair trial,
what I am not liking are all these appendages - I know we've mentioned this elsewhere but, this is starting to look hideous

For me Jorge is a great rider, and really not the personality that many see, or have seen in public for he very deep and hugely intelligent. I wish he had stayed at Ducati as he is the man that stood the best chance of winning a championship on the bike. However that was out of his hands as the team really did not handle the situation with him correctly. I began to muse yesterday what he would have done on that Petronas Yamaha, he would probably have destroyed everyone. In reality I think that Yamaha made a big error in letting him go, and have suffered ever since. Likewise Johan Zarco has seen his stock tumble on the KTM which currently does not suit him at all. As you say he is a class act and most commentators who are in raptures about young Quartararo have forgotten what Zarco did on the less high spec'd Tec3 M1. I just knew that Ianonne would suffer at Aprillia as have all the other second riders to Espargaro. There is something very wrong with that team and it has turned into career grave yard for far too many.

what a magnificent race at a brilliant but oh so scary a circuit, well done to Petrucci , but my word that was one scary overtake and i am not sure how impressed Dovi was with it, the Yams were embarrassing and Rossi must be wondering why he perseveres, I hear he has given up on this years championship and i suspect Ducati may well blow, something the more i look at the more i think they really were not wise about Lorenzo, whether or not he would be doing any better on the Yam i am not sure, but his departure and the changes have really seen Yam fall from grace, but i really think he would be well ahead in the Ducati,
apparently Lorenzo is going to Japan to try and resolve his issues, good luck
it is quite interesting that the more aggressive riders are doing well but the smoother drivers suffer,
