Interesting to see the F1 Logo on the motor Rene Rob, although very similar it is not the official F1 logo on the motor. I don't think you can use that without paying a serious copyright fee! But who knows, it's well documented that Ross Brawn loves slot cars and was active in the hobby for many years. Maybe a deal can be made with him...

I take it that the SRC version will be a resin body shell and a far more limited edition model. The Fly version you have looks really good and I see it is around in the UK for about £45. I have to hold my hand up to the fact that i have only ever run two of my Fly models and both flew out of the box; the ones in question being the wonderful Porsche 908/2 of Seppi and Brian Redman and a Panos I acquired very cheaply. The Ford Mk11's do look very good, far better than those very quick but poor in accuracy NSR versions. On a slightly different note I have viewed some excellent films from the Nuremberg Toy Fair in which some of the manufacturers were interviewed. All in German but that isn't an issue really; both the main men from Slot It and NSR spoke excellent German. What it is to be multi lingual . I don't believe the SRC will be a resin body shell. But SRC cars are just way more detailed compared to the Fly cars. Sometimes however they are over-engineered which makes them not always the best runners. But they are beautiful like the 312 T4 or the Yardley McLaren M23 they did.
Talking about expensive slot cars, Checkered Flag Slot Cars have made a resin version of the 312 T5 based on the 312 T4 chassis from SRC. It looks wonderful and very tempting but at a price of €180,- ..... ? That's an expensive toy! PS The Ford was basically fine but was just put together too tight. After loosening up the body screws and a few drops of oil and grease it ran fine. I must have been mistaken René about the resin body shell on those SRC F1 cars. I was certain that i had read last year they were going to make them with resin bodies as they were limited editions and therefore a smaller production run which would have made resin more affordable than injection moulded plastic. From your attached photo it would appear that they are indeed plastic as the prototype 3D renderings are all made for that process. The Ferrari T5 looks beautiful, you must be tempted .

You're probably thinking about the special editions in resin by Fly. Like the Surtees. Very nice but also expensive. I am tempted by the T5 but not sure yet. I actually planned to build it myself some day.

That would be it then, the Surtees TS19 certainly looks a very good model although the engine and exhaust detail looks a bit toy like as per the Brabham BT44's and Hesketh which is a shame.
If your 126CK is anything to go by René then i am certain that a T5 would be excellent made from your fair hand.

But Fly continues with the classic motor and gearing setup which needs more space compared to the new layout done by Policar and SRC. But still a very nice car. I will try to build the T5 myself. €180,- is ridiculous.

Hi Chris my golf was lonely because I only saw the people I was playing with on the tee boxes, the rest of the time I was hacking in the rough. It is a sport I never mastered or even broke a 100 though I played every week for about 18 months.
