it is with sadness we hear the news that Jim passed away recently at the wonderful age of 98, he was truly a pioneer and encouraged and supported many a would-be-star - rest in peace Jim and thank you

it is with sadness we hear the news that Jim passed away recently at the wonderful age of 98, he was truly a pioneer and encouraged and supported many a would-be-star - rest in peace Jim and thank you I was introduced to several important skills at the Jim Russell School at Willow Springs, a wonderful road course designed by the great Ken Miles and close to Edwards Air Force Base, about 90 miles north of Los Angeles.
Jim Russell lived a long life and gave much to motor racing. Rest in Peace... |

Great sadness to hear the news, but what a life. Among so many things Jim not only had the world renown Racing Driver School but he also had a race team that ran such luminaries in their formative careers as Emerson Fittipaldi.
