I have just read the very sad news that Charlie Lamm the former team manager of the Schnitzer team has died at the all too young age of 63. Charlie really was a legend with a C.V. in motor sport that was right up at the very top. He was a half brother of the Schnitzer brothers who formed the team, but Charlie was the engine room who managed the whole affair.
From what I have heard he was a workaholic who was absolutely meticulous in every detail; absolutely one of the greatest team mangers in any form of motor racing. Multiple touring car championships around the world and for him the icing on the cake was the Le Mans victories with the Williams built BMW V12 prototypes.

yes I saw this JC, it really is sad news and it would befitting if our MotorSport did a decent piece and tribute to such a successful man- rest-in-peace
