Last night while having a quick look through some of the motor sport news sites I came across an interview with Scott Redding on Crash.net (not the most salubrious of sites but a bit more civilised than Motorsport.com). The interview is in written format and quite lengthy, it is one of the best interviews I have read for some time. As ever the young man is open and honest and really explains all the issues that a MotoGP rider encounters and what he had to deal with, no bitterness or rancour just honest comment. He also talks about early life in his middle teens, and how hard it was. At 15 years old and living with his sister he was paid £500 per month, and he gave that to his sister to pay for the mortgage on her house. Scott also explains the necessity of a full support team around you from day one, something his big rival Mark Marquez always had, but he did not. A great interview that I think paints him in a new light to those that have disparaged him over the past years, but i am biased of course . Anyway if you are interested look the interview out it is well worth it. JC

have finally read it JC, in fact both interviews and yes it really shows the difference between those who make it - ie Marquez who created a team around him and Scott who didn't- I am looking forward to seeing how he goes in BSB and also totally agreeing that his departure from Mark VDS was not the best of his moves, but a likable, individual who is his own person and wouldn't it be wonderful if he became BSB champion followed by WSB champion - a real individual - good on him, sometimes these corporate types are a but Stepford in their responses, with Scott who knows what he will say - but I'm a fan
still no news on Danny Kent having any sort of ride for this year, it would be tragic if he didn't have a ride worthy of his abilities
