Rene and John, sadly you are both probably right, however, as an eternally realistic optimistic I do think of a number of drivers who blossomed later on in their careers, Jenson Button being one who springs to mind, but totally agree that the Renault team will be the 'go-to-team' for any parties, interviews and breakfast.

Just a thought about Ocon's situation: Under normal/typical circumstances it would be utterly unthinkable for an F1 team to replace someone of Ocon's caliber with someone on Stroll's level. So wouldn't it be Stroll Snr's obligation (morally as well as financially) to see to that Ocon's future in F1 is safe? One can only hope that Stroll Snr sees the problem in this way.
