Hi Chris, I haven’t heard of this one....are you reading it now? I’m reading the Barnard book at the moment which is thoroughly excellent, really enjoying it. After that I have Tom Wheatcroft’s book ‘Thunder in the Park’ to go at.....managed to get an excellent copy signed by Tom himself for £3 on eBay!

Apologies Chris, I missed your original post about the Ian Walker book. I did see something about it, I believe on the online store that bases its name on the deepest part of Brazil. It sounded very interesting, I bet there are many stories to be told from those days as Ian was a real character with some presence in 1960's motor sport.
Amongst many things he ran Jim Clark in the "works" Lotus 30, as well as some cracking Elan's.
If you have read it, please give us a review.

hi Chaps, it's on the list to get, which is after several novels i am getting around to read, [anyone else read Abir Mukherjee?] - i have seen prices from £53 upwards - which I feel is a bit steep for a book I have little knowledge of, but knowing me i'll probably have bought it by the end of the week
by the way Jamie, big beastie is no more - we now have smooth beastie and it really does purr
