Can Lorenzo keep his momentum and win another one for Ducati? Or will Márquez regain confidence and strike back in Barcelona? A lot of transfer news lately and unfortunately bad news for Scott Redding. Let's hope he finds a good ride for next season.

good questions Rene, not sure about Marquez, with his profile slipping a bit I do wonder what to make of this, will it make him try making a 'bigger point' and screw up? Lorenzo without shackles and with comfort will be tough to beat, Dovi I suspect will be awesome, but I've gone for an 'outside bet' with Rossi, again he seems to be more relaxed and focused with his riding and if the Yam is getting its act together then he could be a good bet, emotionally I would love to see Vinales or Zarco win but with T3 and Z going elsewhere I would cast doubts on Yam's support being an earnest as previously - but we'll see I am often proved wrong
really sad to hear Scotts news and he gave a bit of a press conference saying how he found out he'd lost the seat - which wasn't a pleasant way to do it, but Scott seemed philosophical about it - saying, well I haven't delivered, but equally saying - didn't really give him much of a chance to deliver either, but where to next year? i do hope he gets a ride he can deliver on, he is good enough to win GP's - i think he has proved that in the lower formula's but needs a real lift

yea Dovi's accident was a real shame, although once Lorenzo gets in that position and that groove, difficult to do anything about it, thought Marquez drove a sensible race as did Rossi, but what worries me was the number of accidents in all 3 races, scary, not sure what all that was about and really pleased for Scott, finally getting some points on the board, mega- start from Bradley but too many accidents

What I can't quite grasp is why Ducati took so long to make such a simple fix to Lorenzo's bike. He has now comfortably won two races in a row whereas before he struggled to finish in the top six. Ducati paid a fortune for JL yet didn't seem to listen to his problems. Can any of you help me understand this better?

Exactly Rob, I had the same thought. Was it really that simple and if it was, why did it take them so long to change?

Ducati have a long and proven track record in uselessness wrt managing riders.
Next year could be difficult with Dovi and Petrucci, after have let this Lorenzo slip away...

There is a good article on the MS site by Max Oxley which explains what Ducati did to help Jorge Lorenzo. It cost about 100 euros and is fitted to the petrol tank and helps him brace himself when braking in a straight line from high speed, something the Ducati is very good at. It adds to few 10ths per lap or about 5 secs per race depending on the circuit.
Still doesn't answer the question though as to why they waited until he was leaving to do something about it. I would say Jorge now has a better chance of winning the championship than Dovi this year.
