Rob and I have been discussing the forthcoming book "Formula 2: The Glory Years 1967 - 1984" by Chris Witty for many months, after he first alerted me to its probable release. However we have been hugely disappointed by the fact that it still has no future release date as specified by Amazon.
Yesterday I became aware of a very similar book on the same subject by another author Chris Ellard titled "Second To None The European Formula 2 Story from Ickx to Thackwell and Rindt to Streiff". This is apparently available from Simon Lewis at approx 40GBP, but not anywhere else!
On the subject of the Witty book another seller lists the reason for its delay to heavy research loads which would suggest the book has not reached the initial print run as yet.
Interesting that there are two books on the same or similar subject, and both seem reluctant to make there way towards very eager readers.

Interesting book with some superb photos by the look of it, shame it is only in German, i know some of the language but not enough to enjoy the publication.
Incidentally the "part two on Formula Two" in the last issue of Automobilsport was the only thing that I wasn't overly impressed with, pretty poor actually.

I see the release of Chris Witty's book has been delayed yet again.
